Reflections on my 60th Birthday

Good morning, evening my WA family!

What an interesting time of my life. I looked in the mirror this morning (after breakfast in bed

that my husband cooked) and thought who is that old woman? Lol

No really, I'm totally comfortable with reaching 60. Gone is the young body and face but the thousands of special memories of a life well-lived are reflected in my smiling face.

Through hard work and some design, I live in a comfortable old home with a nice view near the beach, shops, and amenities. Away from flood, fire, and drought (hard to do in Australia lol).

I have a wonderful husband who is generous in spirit and caring and a sweet dog whom

I adore.

I spend my days playing guitar in my music room, working on my websites (chatting with you), and enjoying outings with my friends. My drive to learn and succeed is well met with working towards creating a little more income to travel the world again (when we are able.)

Covid has been a pest with its restrictions and heartbreaking for many. We live simply and stay home mostly to protect our elderly with occasional exceptions like today.

My lovely family and friends have organized a small party lunch outside (Vacs and masks) to

celebrate my birthday with a jam after. As usual, my dear music friends will be there to share the joy of performing (a perfect birthday for me.)

I want to thank you all for being such a wonderful family of friends to me over the past 2 years. I've enjoyed watching everyone growing, commiserating your frustrations, and applauding your wins.

We have many more years to build and grow together ( I wonder where we will be this time next year?)

Had the best party today with friends in a vineyard. I am so blessed.

Take care and have a wonderful day,

Warm Regards,

Lily

Miss Lily, I never would've guessed you're only 3 years younger than I; you look so incredibly young!

You really do have so much to be grateful for, don't you? It's a beautiful thing that you've accumulated so many blessings in your life.

Happy birthday, my friend, and I wish you many more of them, along with comfort and joy in all your life.

Margaret

That is so sweet of you to say, Margaret.
Of course, I've had challenges like everyone else but we need to leave what we can't change behind us to open the door to a better life.

Great to have you here with us.
Lily

Thank you, Lily; you're very kind to say so.

I'm so happy that you have such a great history. Such a great journey. Music is the soul of life.

Thanks for ALL you do for us!

There are 20 years old who feel really old...
and there are 60 years old who feel really young,
and you are a person who always feels young.

Happy birthday Lily!

Forever young Ivan.
Thanks.

Lily

I know you are forever young Lily.

I was fortunate enough to experience that joy,.. Friends coming with their guitars and playing old songs until 4 or 5 in the morning.

And that was every Friday, and sometimes Saturdays, when I was living in New York.

I will always enjoy those memories!

Enjoy your weekend, and have many, many more
Happy Birthdays!

Glad your birthday was a good one. Gee, 23 years ago I had a 60th too! The one that bothered me was my 50th. I found a pin that said "I'm too young to be this old," and wore it for an entire year. Now I'm resigned to aging.

How fortunate, that you have so many years to celebrate being a part of WA (my prophecy is a long life for you.) I do hope your year brings you closer to your goals.

Thanks for your kind thoughts, Fran. I'm looking forward to the years here at WA with everyone and sharing the learning as we all grow.

I have some special friends in their 80's and they are wonderful women who laugh at growing older. They have such wonderful style and grace. You are one of them.

Lily

Thank you, Lily. I used to think that life only goes to age 80. Now that I'm past that, have had to revamp my thinking.

It certainly is progressive thinking. Lol.
Hugs

Happy 60th Birthday Lily.

In normal corporate world this is when they told you to stop working or a subtle way of saying we don't need you anymore.

But thanks that here at WA age is just a number. Keep those trainings coming as for sure it will be a helpful guides for incoming newbies just like myself.

Enjoy your special day and I wish you more success.

Happy New Year.

Rowe

Hi Rowe,

You are so correct. About now my work would be dropping hits and thankfully I don't have that problem. It's wonderful being in WA and starting a whole new career amongst friends.

Lily

Happy Birthday Lily!

Glad you’re celebrating your special day in style. I think just living by the beach with a view is an amazing accomplishment.

You’re very special to all of us here at Wealthy Affiliate. Your generosity in sharing your knowledge through your posts and training will reap rewards ten fold and more.

60 was not a good year for me. I lost my job. Looking back, that was the best thing that happened. The experiences I’ve had since then would not have been possible if I was working 9 to 5. Actually 8 to 5. We didn’t get paid for lunch lol.

I know you’re going to have the time of your life going forward. Enjoy the journey. Look forward to some fantastic destinations figuratively and physically.

Cheers!

Edwin

Wow, Edwin.

I think that is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I just love being in WA and helping any way I can.
The next few years will be huge for many of us, we will enjoy it together.

Lily
