Thoughout my search into the unknown in a constant effort to renew my mind and increase my knowledge, I was directed to the silva method, also known as the silva life system. I've been investigating, and it seems to be a legitimate collection of exercises presented as a curriculum that focus on the art and benefits of meditation, visualization, and affirmation. I'm interested in knowing if any of my colleagues here at WA have had any experiences with this method ....

I am aware of it and a good close friend of mine did the Silva mind control programme when it was being taught by Silva in the 80's. I have both seen and experienced some of the exercises themselves and have also adopted some of them as coaching and/or therapy tools.
I can't comment on the current versions of the programme, and the 'evidence' side of the some of the claims may be a little thin - however, take a good look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silva_Method if you want to get a reasonably balanced perspective. There is some value in the tools, approaches and exercises but I can't personally comment on the current incantation - as I have not actually participated in the programme.
