Position your most important post prominently on your FB Business Page

Did you know that you can pin your most important post to the top of your Business Timeline so that fans are sure to see it?

I have been working on a new Business Page called Social Media 4 Baby Boomers and on this page I have "Pinned" the very video that has taken me on this new journey. It is a video that I posted about 1 1/2 yrs. ago where I just walked beginners through Facebook explaining the different sections and how to do the basics.

This video, as of today October 29, 2014 has over 70,000 views.

Needless to say I wanted this video to show prominently on my new Business page so that those who become fans will see that first and hopefully watch it. ;)

I put together this quick video tutorial on how you can pin your post to the top...

1. A Welcome Video - This is a great way to Welcome your fans to your page and give them a little insight as to what they can expect to find in their newsfeed from you.
2. A Welcome Photo - Photos so amazingly well on pretty much all Social sites. If you didn't want to get in front of the camera why not create a Welcome image that lets your potential fans and fans know what sort of post they can expect from your page.
3. A Free giveaway/Email list building - If you have posted a link to a free download that is helping you build your email list then pin that to the top.
4. Promote a Seminar or Webinar - Putting on Seminars/Webinars and want to get the word out? Of course I'm sure you're posting that as your Business page but we all know that the older post are pushed down the timeline so keep that promotion before the eyes of your fans by pinning it to the top.
5. Promote a Contest - If you're running a contest and have shared the link that gives more information then pin that post to the top.
