Who has time for that!?
Have you ever felt like the Mad Hatter in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland? Not that we can't be late; we just have so much going on. Let's face it, I have three trillion things (I might be exaggerating here just a little) to do today, tomorrow and the next and there is only so much awake time in a day! Arrrggghhh!!
A suggestion that most will make in this instance is to outsource.
Outsource! Outsource! Outsource!
Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!
I don't know of anyone who has not grown tired of that one word, especially when starting something new because it equates to money I never seem to have. In the past year, I have outsourced for a business logo, cooking, taking care of my dog during the day, printing etc. Outsourcing is just a way of having someone do something for you.
Yes, every time I visit McDonald's I have outsourced my cooking. Sure I could go buy the hamburger meat, make two all beef patties, ketchup, mustard, pickles and sesame seed bun. Even this is a form of outsourcing because I am having someone else take the time to make the pickles, bake the bread, etc
You get the point I am trying to make, outsourcing is part of our everyday lives.
So, hey, you know about this so why bother with this article? Well, great question and I am about to let you in on a secret only a few know about.
White LabelingIn business, when you or I do not have time to create a product, we might go searching for something similar to our vision. We might search a site like Alibaba. We talk with someone half a world a way, order a sample and inspect it. If we think the quality is good and meets our expectations we then might attach our logo to the product and sell it. This is called white labeling.
In marketing, this can also be done with software. Like I have a client who wants analytics on his online prowess. I setup a dashboard that he can get rolling stats on any part of his online activities. There is a company that allows me to do this but the caveat here is I do not want my client to see where I got the dashboard or report from to sell to him. That would be giving away a business secret. And honestly, if the client really wanted to find out he probably could, but who has the time for that? So I slap my logo onto the dashboard and report, call it my own and sell it to the client. White label reporting.
You know this already, I am sure. Okay great. Then what about those free offers, you go to fiverr (or wherever) browse through the ads for a person who might do well writing for you and you take the leap. However, in the end your eBook isn't five dollars it now has a price tag of about 700 USD. Ouch! Even more for a quicker delivery. On top of all of that, there is no way of knowing the guy is not going to resell your eBook as his own. He did write it after all. It's happened.
Remember white labeling products? Hang on I will get back to that in a moment.
The Dreaded CopyrightWith books, articles and printed material there is a subject called a copyright. You and I have experienced this when we go to put images on our blog posts. An author has the exclusive right to the article any reprinting or use cannot be done without the author's express permission. Preferably in writing.
Should the author choose to allow others to use or sell their work they can then give to the buyer something called Master Resell Rights. A fancy term for the author's express permission to resell the printed work and not get sued into oblivion by the author.
What would happen if you could have your choice of ebooks as the free offer, not have to worry about getting sued into oblivion and not having to pay 700 USD every time you wanted to offer a lead something in return for their email address?
Be able to slap your company's information onto it call it your own and call it day?
Private Label RightsPrivate Label Rights allow you to slap your name, your company's info onto the book, as well as edit the content to your heart's content. Master Resell Rights allows you to sell or giveaway the book for free, put it in a giveaway etc.
Sure that would be great! No it would be awesome!
Now what if I told you it would be cheaper than fiverr?
I am talking about a company called The Private Label Rights Store. Please note that they do have an affiliate program, I am not an affiliate nor am I associated with this company.
The Private Label Rights Store (PLR) has eBooks, websites, Amazon Turnkey stores, software, ready to sell and the list goes on.
The price range is from 2.99 to 47.00 USD.
The higher end prices are for things like a Dating Ecommerce PLR Website, or in my niche, a Weight Loss Ecommerce Digital Products Store.
The lower end would include PLR Articles and eBooks.
I will admit, the descriptions are not very descriptive as to what the product entails and the website does need work on this aspect. However, if we compared an outsourcing company such as iWriter where a Premium article is 11.50 USD to that of the PLR Store with an article on Weight Loss for 5.99 USD I am saving quite a bit in the long run.
Tea Anyone?Since I have yet to buy from them, I cannot guarantee the quality of the article. However, I can edit the article all I want and if I want to put it in a free offering I know I have the MRR.
Before I go, think about this. 90 blog articles from iWriter at 11.50 USD per article will cost you 1,035. 90 USD. PLR Articles at the PLR Store at 5.99 USD will cost you 539.10 USD. If you chose to write those 90 articles, how much would it cost you then?
