I joined Wealthy Affiliate In June 2016 part-time. I use to be a banker. But I hated the jobs (Though it pays like so well. . . ).
Getting to know Wealthy Affiliate opens another world of great opportunities. The first thing I did was to consume all the information I can get within and outside Wealthy Affiliate.
Wealthy Affiliate has helped me to quit my banking job since January 3rd, 2020. As of 2021, it was very difficult to be affiliated with Amazon if you are in Nigeria and some other big websites. But things are changing.
Thanks to Kyle and Carson for the opportunity they gave to someone like me. Working full-time online changed my world.
So I decided to start a YouTube channel, it was my toughest project ever, why? Because I can't face cameral. I am an extremely shy person. I prepared and researched for two good months. I went through a series of Jay’s training on how to start and earn on YouTube here on Wealthy Affiliate.
My first video was horrible! I am still learning. . . .

I published my first YouTube late October 2021. YouTube can be very tough when you are starting. It will seem that the subscription will not grow!
My target was 4,000 view hours and 1,000 subscribers to get approval for monetization. But I could only meet the YouTube monetization requirements at the end of June 2022 ( almost eight months!). That was so long for me.
But getting approved after meeting the requirements and qualifications is another challenge. A friend of mine got approval after three months of scaling the requirements. His story made me research how to speed up mine.
So, I did. I got YouTube monetization and approval 12 hours after meeting the requirements. I am doing a mini-training on that to be published this week.
But below is my first month's earnings on YouTube. It is pennies, for now, I am operating from Nigeria (Your locations and the niche you choose will determine your YouTube earnings). But, it is an addition to the so called passive income.
Expect more of my small success stories.
