#3 N00b Fire, Epic Setbacks, N00b Meditation

It feels great to be back. I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in a few days letting you guys know about my progress. But I've literally had the most incredible (both bad and good) past few days. I've set some goals for myself after going through that particular lesson of the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course Level 1. Great stuff. I set some financial goals and some non financial goals. But here's what happened.
So because I want to have that kind of life Kyle lives, where I can take my pretend Ipad (laptop) over to a coffee shop and start working. I do just that. I head over to the starbucks near me and I start reading and typing away. I'm super excited to have gotten started. The smell of coffee is intoxicating. The coffee I'm drinking is stimulating. My fingers are hitting those keys like there's no tomorrow when suddenly... The "G," "H," "backspace," buttons don't work.
Epic setback #1: My laptop keys stopped working
I let out a very frustrate *sigh*. I pack my things and I head home. Luckily for me, I have an extra keyboard from a Mac computer that I don't use anymore. I connect the keyboard to my laptop and lo-and-behold "EUREKA!". So I'm thinking, "YES!!! PROBLEM SOLVED BABY!!!!"
I go back to typing away on my website. It's such a beautiful site. I'm so proud of it. It's like I gave birth to this thing through my ass and I'm so proud that it doesn't stink. So after putting up another epic post on my website, the unthinkable happens. The "M," "U," "1," and "J," buttons suddenly stop working....
Epic setback #2: The new (old) keyboard has also stopped working.
So I'm pissed as all hell. I yell at my laptop again for being such as A**hole and proceeded to triumphantly continue typing away. I did not realize how many freaking G's H's J's M's and U's I actually used!!!!
So at this point, I'm using 3 keyboards. The laptop's, the mac USB keyboard, and the on-screen Microsoft keyboard, just to respond to some messages and say thank you to people that have decided to follow me. Which by the way I am so happy you guys have decided to follow me.
It also served as pressure because I'm like "shit.... these guys are counting on me to make money. Just as much as I'm following them to learn, they're also following me to learn from me....." So I decided to not give up. The N00b fire inside of me is still burning bright and I will not give up.
After working on the site, reading as much as possible from the free section of WAU and reading more and more from the training section and other blog members' posts, I decided to take a break from the 30+ logged in N00b hours.
Long story short, I post on Facebook if anyone could donate a keyboard to me and luckily a friend of mine had one lying around and donated it to me. I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to work at my regular pace again. It was difficult and very disorienting to have these setbacks and then try to get back into working on this with the same fire I had starting out a few days ago.
Even though I do have to say, not having a keyboard did help me meditate on whats important. It made me read the lessons more carefully instead of jumping into the work and missing vital pointers. I got to see videos, read tutorials and most importantly re-focus.
Ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for following me. I feel responsible to all of you guys because you're holding me accountable to my success because you guys want to READ AND HEAR about my success. And I just really wanted to say thank you. Because even though you guys don't directly interact with me on a daily basis, it's because of the added excitement of knowing that people are following me, makes me work that much harder. Again, Thank you. Epic-ly :)
Lesson: Never give up despite any setbacks. You can get easily discouraged since it's difficult to put all this work in for yourself and having to wait to see results as opposed to working your 9-5 and knowing your getting a check on Friday. But keep going. Just keep going.
