OH MY GOD!!!!!! I FREAKING DID IT!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHHAHAHHHHAHHAHAHAHA!!!
I am absolutely bugging out right now at 4:33 am. OH MY GOD I FREAKING DID IT!!! Some one bought the affiliate product i was promoting. OH MY GOD THIS STUFF WORKS!! I mean, I always knew that it would, but I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE PROOF!!!

Ok, now to calm down and tell you what happened.
I've been working on my site relentlessly every other day or so. Not really losing my mind over it because I know that I'll get burned out. N00b burn outs happen, and I refuse to be a statistic. So I literally take it one day at a time. I have to.
So, I went to go check on my clickbank today, which is really really odd for me to do because I dont want to look at it and get depressed when I see a whole bunch of $0's. However, I logged in because I wanted to check on something completely unrelated, and BAM! I saw an extended line. Of course, I nearly creamed my pants but held it back.
So after taking a deep breath, i completely forgot why I had gone to clickbank in the first place because that line caught my complete attention.
Anyway, what i did do however was check my sites ranking....... and would you believe me if I told you that not only am i listed organically for the #2 position... but also for the #1 position!!! Can you believe that?? For the keywords I'm working with, I'm listed 2x here in the US and 3x in the UK?!?! I'm so happy and impressed with myself.

I rank, FYI, for exact term search. So which means that I've accomplished a HUGE goal. So all that's left to do is continue writing articles and backlinking so that I can be a powerhouse for the KW and actually be listed organically in the Broad search terms. Which is EVERYONE's ultimate goal.

Don't avoid it. Write Squidoo lenses and articles to boost rankings. You have to do it... its free so why the hell not, right?

Posting relevant comments on forums with your signature and being an active part of the communities you're in is also important. It's also free, so again... why the hell not, right?

Hey Ariel, don't say your niche cuz some person might try and go after it. I saw somebody actually buy a .org domain for a niche Jay's ranking 3rd spot on, and I was like WOW. She didn't put anything on the domain though, so idk what's up with that. lol. But anyway, very nice job. You're definitely one of the quickest people to start making sales. You may want to try some Amazon advertising as well because Clickbank's known to be a bit scammy.
Google Webmaster Tools will be one of your best buddies. Keep on publishing more content and transforming what you're doing into a professional plan of action. Good luck!

Hmm, it's easy to find a profitable niche. The hard part is actually creating the site, writing for it, setting up Webmaster tools/Authorship, and setting up your campaigns for it. But yeah... there will be people out there who's too lazy to search there own niche, or they don't know how to, and just use what they hear is profitable. That's cool you're ranking number 1 and 2 though. Be sure and check the monthly traffic those keywords are getting. ;) Good job again and gl.
Hey Seth - Yes Clickbank have had a reputation of promoting scammy products but they have done a rehaul to eliminate this image - some of their products are very interesting. Best way to promote is to purchase the product ,use it, review it and if you feel it's a seller then promote this aspect to your audience by proving that you have purchased this product with a video review. This enforces the customers thinking that the product is real and safe to purchase - worst case scenario is that you have 60 days to refund the product if you deem it useless, so the risk is minimal. I would stay away from the money making products as yes these are the Risky or Scammy ones.
Well, PotPieGirl advertises her I.M. guides on Clickbank along with one of Ryan Moran's flipping guides, but I'd definitely agree that 98% of the money making guides are all scams on Clickbank. Magnificent way to gain poor credibility to one's own site. Thanks for the insight on that too.
without getting too specific, which i totally am, its in the heel/foot/podiatry niche. I don't mind sharing. :) thanks for asking. some people are afraid to give out information. I'm a little nervous too, but if i can help I definitely will where ever I can.
No I appreciate that - just nice to see the vast array and the type of niches, members promote. I understand the reason as to why people do not place their websites on their blog - prevents copying of ideas and content and not to mention it's your Business which needs to be protected.

MASSIVE congrats. Cisco, hard earned and incredibly well deserved! I often see people bragging about *theory* but never actually putting in the work as you did. They don't get their hands dirty with the *experience* which I believe is vital part of learning the process. From then on for me it was a question of: Rinse. Repeat. It only takes *tenacity* and a success like yours to give you proof of concept and the belief you can really do this. I know that I found myself refining what I'd learnt and adding to it, each time the results came quicker and it got easier and easier. It was my fourth "niche" that started to generate sufficient income to let me do this full time but even if I'd started with that one, I doubt it would have worked out without the knowledge and understanding I gained from the other three.
