6 Months Update - Success In Progress

Hello WA friends, today I wanted to share with you what happened with me and WA in the last 6 months. Tomorrow will mark my 6th month here but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow for writing this post.

First, if you followed my blog posts since I've started WA, you'll understand how bad I want to work on my own terms and I'll do everything that I can to reach that goal, but indeed it is not always easy.

In this blog post I will show the growth of my website and my strategy that I'm working with right now due to the schedule I have and my full-time job.

My first website : Hockey niche

My first website that was about NHL clothing is on pause since a couple months now and until I can say that my actual website I'm working on is making me money I won't work on it, I really need to focus on one thing.

I know I've only been in the business branch for 6 months but I can tell as a beginner that if you try to do too much at the same time, it will be very hard to see results ''quickly'' and you will easily lose yourself. So keep your focus on one thing! ;)

My actual website : MMO niche

One month after I had signed up with WA, I wanted to share this platform with as many people as possible because I thought it was the revelation I was waiting for to build my own business and I wanted everyone to have this chance.

So I started my website in the MMO niche with the Affiliate Bootcamp (now at Phase 5) not knowing it was a very competitive niche for the moment and that for a newbie with a new website it would be very hard to rank.

If I had known that before maybe I would have worked a little more on my first website to learn more stuff before entering the MMO niche but now that I am already in, I will definitely not quit.

Why will I not quit?

Because I always remember the reason WHY I started this business and I want to reach my goals. Yes sure sometimes I feel like it's useless and that I am loosing my time but I'm not, I just have to remember WHY. Every little steps that you do each day bring you closer to your goals, always remember this.

Also, since a couple of weeks I have cool results, showing me that hard work starts to pay off! My current strategy is not really passive since I still need to grow my authority but traffic is slowly growing and I'm more than ever motivated to not give up. Let's take a look at my stats (not to brag! Just to show everyone that it does take a couple months before seeing some results!) for the last 6 months (this website is 5 months old) :

My weekly organic traffic is increasing every day! Good news!

The number of organic visitors I had for the past months :

• April : 2
• May : 8
• June : 4
• July : 7
• August : 34
• September (until now) : 43

You can see that in August my website turned 4 months old and that's where my traffic began to grow more. Numbers are not high but this is where it starts.

My IG account now has 268 followers!

Right now, this is the social media I'm the more familiar with and that is working well so I don't focus on other social media. I focus on what is working trying to gain authority.

When I decided to focus on one thing instead of many things at the same time, I saw my results grow faster. For sure, I use different strategies on my IG account to see the different results.

WA

I have many clicks on my links but I suspect bots. Referrals are coming in but not passively yet, I guess it's a step that is coming soon if I don't give up!

I have more referrals in September because I work hard on it but I expect to have more passive referrals in the next months.

Conclusion

This is basically what is going on with my business right now. I'm proud of what I have done for the last months, I feel like it's never enough but I do what I can and it just goes on.

The results I have right now for the time I put at it are good and I can say it. I'm working about 3 to 5 hours per day on my website, sometimes a little less and unfortunately I cannot work on the weekends.

For anyone who's not having results yet I tell you : DO NOT STOP. You are in the hardest part right now and if you keep working things will start moving a little more. Things are moving on my side because I didn't give up when I wasn't having any results. I don't say I have big results right now but it's the beginning, I don't have the choice to go through this.

It went through my mind during that time that maybe starting again in another niche would be better but NO. Why? Because I would reach that point again in another niche. Believe, go through it, work hard and this not-motivational part will leave.

I think I'm on the right track right now, I keep listening to Jay's training, focusing on writing good relevant content and being active on IG. If it's working now and I keep working hard, there's no reason it doesn't keep working in the next months! Still, I have many other ideas for my business and I'm working on them!
