It's That Time For Celebrations

Another year, another 4th of July Celebration for Americans around the world. As I sit and ponder what might have been had history taken a different turn.

Being English I often wonder what would have happened if we had won. Would America be the country it is today? Would you be Driving on the left?

Haha, Would a sidewalk be called a pavement? Such things that meander around my mind.

When you actually sit and think about past events, it really strikes home how different life could be for us all today.

I was fascinated when I learnt more about it during my trip to New Orleans in Sept 2019. We don't really know much of it, well I didn't. All I knew was we lost, that's about all they teach us at school, Must still hurt too much. lol

It Could Have Gone Either Way

We were so close, the United States at our finger tips, another country to add to our commonwealth. Ah but it wasn't to be. The American troops, out smarted us, out played us and sent us home with our tails between our legs.

I'm glad you did. Because I love America, it's one of my favourite places to visit.

To date I have visited Florida, Montana, New Orleans, Memphis and Also North to your neighbour Canada.

The open country is beautiful, so vast and open. I took a trip on Amtrak from NOLA to Memphis and I was surprised how big the country really is.

That was just a small part. Definitely wouldn't want to be stranded anywhere.

The country is so diverse, even different states that have their own rules, beliefs, laws and culture. I just can't get my head around the different laws depending on where you are. Little old UK is the same wherever you go, It must get confusing when you travel.

Today Is Your Day To Remember Who You Are

It goes without saying that you should be proud of who you are every day. Every single one of you has a gift to help and encourage people to fulfill their potential. Many of us do that here through our business, reaching out to those that need help.

The WA community is like it's very own Independent Country with a family we can all be proud of.

There is always someone one step above reaching down to pull someone up and that goes a long way to showing solidarity.

We all bring something to the table that encourages someone to keep going, to fight for what they want and to succeed.

There isn't many places you could get that togetherness and support for building a business.

Be Proud of Your Accomplishments

However Big or small, or insignificant you may think they are, each step you complete is a success. It's true in life just as it is in your business. So today is the 4th July, what do you want to accomplish today?

Maybe you have lost touch with a family member or friend, pick up the phone. Rekindle that

relationship. It doesn't matter what happened in the past, what counts is what you do today.

Is there something in your business that is confusing you or holding you back? Break it down, learn and understand it thoroughly and implement it.

Whatever it is you decide to do today, have an amazing 4th of July celebration, but above all remember to eat, eat, and eat some more.

Get grilling on the Bar B-Q, drink and spend time with family and friends.

Enjoy.

P.s. Tell me some of your favourite 4th July food, I'd love to hear the comparisons and what your traditions are.

I hope that you have had a blessed day!

Jeff

It is really nice to read about what and how other countries celebrate on their holidays

It really seems like lots of fun
Happy Independence Day
Hope it will be enjoyable for you

Absolutely, I love learning about different cultures. The world is so full wonderful people and things, it’s a shame to miss that.

Exactly ;)

Thanks for the sentiments from the UK. I have always wondered what it would have been like to still be part of the commonwealth.

But, again... fully enjoy what I have now as far as the differences between our two countries is concerned.

It is not too confusing to travel between the states. Most of the laws are the same with slight variations. Each state has its own constitution and the right to go with the federal government policies or not.

As far as family traditions for celebrating: Usually cookout on the grill and shoot off a few fireworks in the evening. Not a whole lot different from what most people do. Remember we all are still one nation and share the same ideas for celebrating.

Cheers to you and have a blessed day!
Bob

You’re welcome Bob. And totally agree we are the world United. Have a great day and enjoy.

Hey
Thank you.
To you too.
Blessed day.
Lula.

Very well said Andrew. You got me thinking there about what could have been the result if the Brits had won. Takes me down a path of the impact of colonial power as well. Appreciate the stirrings.
Hugh

Hey Hugh yeh it’s a bit of a mind bender. I often think about something that could’ve been so different. Just one small change is all it takes. That said things tend to work out. Have a great day.
