My First Fortnight As A Premium Member
A New Beginning?
Fourteen days ago I finally decided to go Premium, and my only regret so far, is that I didn't do it earlier. Much earlier!
Having been a free member for about 5 years, I think I already knew that Wealthy Affiliate was a great platform and that it would lead to success for anybody prepared to work hard and persistently, over a reasonable period of time.
However, we are exposed to so many promises of instant riches every time we log on to the internet - and I really did fancy the idea of turning my laptop into my very own, personal, fully-automated ATM.
My Achievements As A Starter Member
On January 27th of this year, I made a conscious decision to put some concerted effort into Wealthy Affiliate, and from position number 125,548 in the WA rankings I was amazed at how fast I climbed through the ranks while (almost) completing level 1 of the Online Entrepreneur Certification.
By March 19th I had reached # 46,409 and had built up a fair bit of momentum in doing so. I was intending to stay as a Starter Member for as long as possible and see just how far I could progress without upgrading. However, I had already concluded that I could greatly benefit from becoming Premium and finally made the move on March 20th.
As well as greatly improving my ranking, I also created my first website (seriously-weird-gifts.siterubix.com) which served its purpose of getting me up and running, but is now about to be deleted and replaced - hopefully for a much better site that will actually get indexed and ranked by Google.
My First 14 Days In Premium
I've been a bit like a kid in a candy store since going Premium - there's such a vast amount of great material inside and I initially found myself jumping around like a flea on steroids!
Fortunately, this tendancy has now subsided and I've been able to adopt a more sedate and structured approach to my new-found Aladdin's Cave. I'm reading and learning lots each day and have developed some solid website ideas, which I must now bring into being.
My rankings continue to improve and today I stand at position 844, which is very gratifying - and completely unexpected. I had set myself the goal of top 10,000 by the end of April, so I'm well ahead on that one. I now have my sights set on the top 200 by the end of the year.
The Road Ahead
I found out last night that I'd been selected for the Super Affiliate Challenge and feel really excited at the opportunity this presents. I know there will be much hard work involved, but I'm absolutely determined to make it work.
Perhaps an even bigger challenge I'm facing, is convincing my wife that anything good will come out of it. She seems totally unable to grasp the concept of working now for future rewards - I just hope to see some money coming in before she finds out where I'm hiding my PayPal statements!

Hi, Steve looks like the time is right for you to make some progress on securing your future, sometimes it can be all about timing and that can be the thing that makes all the difference.
Congratulations on being accepted for the challenge and best wishes as you explore the opportunity.
Stating out in the online world can be hard and crossing that work for nothing bridge can be harder, we are creating a business so it does take time and sometimes keeping the folks around us in the loop can work.
