How to Find My Passion
While sitting in my bed room and recovering from foot surgery, I started thinking about pursuing my passion. After spending 20 plus years in the military, it was time to retire. I was changing careers again and I wanted to line up my next profession with my passion.
It was time to start my own business and create passive streams of income for myself, instead working 9 to 5 for others. I said to myself, what if I devoted the same amount of hours working for myself, I would be rich. With barely an idea of how to do that, I started searching online for answers. My plan was to travel and allow money to make money for me.
So, here I was, with zero professional web programming training, thinking about turning my passion into an online business. After reading about thousands of online scams, I must admitted it was a little scary after reading the posted comments and reviews.
Interesting enough, just prior to giving up, I find this web builder site, read the reviews, and they made it crystal clear that building a brand overnight and making tons of money is not possible. On the other hand, it is highly possible to make money online with hard work and effort.
After over coming fear, I made that leap of faith and signed up for their starter membership. I made a commitment to focus my thoughts on going thru all the lessons plans and creating great content for my Wordpress post and pages. I quickly realized if you change the way you think anything is possible. I kept telling myself that this is going to turn of perfect, every single post is going to earn me an income.
30 days passed and I quickly realized that this is really hard work. Then I realized that creating a business and gaining trust takes time. It took the owner three months before he made a profit. All I could think is that I have not made a sell yet but I continued to press forward with the training and creating content for my website. Or I give it all up, and go back to working 9 to 5, and make myself feel good by saying I gave it my best shot.
Then I said to myself, Rome was not build overnight. I finally taken the steps to build my pathway to financial freedom and fulfilling my dreams. I will not let rejection or lack of selling deter me now. If anything this made me work harder. So, I continued to write and post at least three posts per week. At this point, I realized that I enjoy writing content that was beneficial to the user experience. It was not always about my a making profit.
I have finally realized my true passion because I found joy in helping others and my content could actually manifest and help others right before my eyes. Ideas for helping others in my niche or passion was all around me. Once I write and published a post or blog, I feel happy knowing that it is going to help someone that read it or visit my website.
Now, please do not quit your day job after creating a business online. Building your brand and making constant passive streams of income takes time and hard work. Concentrate on getting your audience and major search engines to trust your content and website first. Do I always get a sell or comment for all my reviews and post I write, no. Will I reap the benefits down the road, yes.
After finding my passion, I realized that life is what you make. I am a writer and editor of my own business. I am convinced of myself of my abilities, and all it took was a thought, decision, and a commitment. I am committed to providing empowerment through my writing and sharing my pages and posts with others. Who knows, someone else may be nudged to pursue their passion, and my content might help improve their life.
Life is what is made of your thoughts, you are the force that is solely responsible for your happiness. When events happen is your life good or bad, do not worry faith will guide your steps and create the path to exactly where you need to go.
