The Thrill Of The Catch

Have you ever thought about why some people like fishing? After all, it could be quite messy and nasty. Personally, I liked fishing somewhat as a child but I quickly grew out of it.I never liked hooking worms or taking the fish off the hook. For me, it’s not worth the aggravation.

But don’t get me wrong…I totally understand why people fish. It’s all about the thrill of the catch! When a fisher throws out his/her hook and bait the suspicion begins. They could catch a small fish, a medium fish, a large fish or it may sink the boat. As the suspicion builds, so does the excitement. The good thing about fishing is that each time you go out, more than likely, you will catch something, it’s just a matter of how much and how big. If you continue to fish, ultimately, you will have lots of fish. Some of them will be small, some medium, some large and some will sink the boat.

Fishing reminds me of Business. It can be aggravating and frustrating at times, but I love it! I like the suspense and thrill of the unknown. I know I am going to make money, but I don’t know when or how much. If I continue to follow a proven process, then I will continue to make money. Sometimes I will make a little money, sometimes a moderate amount of money, sometimes a lot of money and sometimes I will sink the boat.

The thrill of the catch is a sign of freedom. Nothing is guaranteed but the opportunity to try. But nothing can beat the excitement of the catch, when your hard work and sweat has paid off and your money piles up after you follow a proven process over and over again.

If you are reading this, you probably already know that most people would choose a guaranteed small amount over the risk of receiving nothing at all. But the lack of risk is a risk in and of itself. When something is given to you, no matter what, then you become complacent, lazy and shiftless. Ultimately, you have no fight in you at all and you would best be left for dead. That is why owning your own website is so important. It gives you the freedom to express yourself and “catch’ visitors as they visit your website. Some will enter their information in your lead capture page. Some of them will click on your “Google” ads and some will purchase your product or service. How exciting is that!

So many give up because their sales numbers aren’t bursting at the seams and they should be rejoicing and celebrating “The Thrill of The Catch”.

I love that analogy! I personally think fish are disgusting creatures, but the analogy of the thrill of catch is one I had not thought of. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Kelly
I am certainly a deep thinker :-)
