Put Yourself Out There

Over Thirteen years ago I was home alone staring at my computer screen. So I decided to look for a girl friend. At the time I used “CompuServe” as my Internet provider. CompuServe and AOL had a partnership. There was a link on the CompuServe home page that read “Love@Aol”. I clicked on it and discovered it was a dating site. In the late 90’s and early 2000’s dating sites were experimental and FREE! So I screened and screened and screened and filtered and all that other stuff to find the right one.I sent a message to some and managed to meet two of them in person. They did not work out, so I decided to be bold.

I didn’t want to put myself out there because I was a little shy and did not want to put my business in the street. I could not bear the thought of thousands of women looking through my profile. But I knew if I wanted to strike gold, I could not sit back and just send messages to women sporadically. I needed to become the hunted, not the hunter. So finally, I bit the bullet and created my own profile. It worked! I struck gold. I put myself out there and it paid off. I will spare you the details, but I am now married 12 years to my lovely wife Angela. I could not have done it if I had stayed hidden in my shell.

Most network marketers have all manner of excuses of why they failed at Internet Marketing, when the real reason is they are afraid to tell the world “HERE I AM!” So they will post ads all over the virtual universe of someone else's program or product without showing their face. How can you build a team when your prospects don’t know who you are? Show your face and give us your real name. Tell us where you live and your favorite hobbies.

I know; this all sounds crazy. But people have a tendency to respect those who are not afraid to stand out front or, are not afraid to lead. If you want people to take your advice or follow your lead, then you must be willing to expose yourself first and give of yourself first. Just look at Kyle&Carson.

No more hiding. Build your website and let the world know who you really are. We are all very interesting human beings, but we have a tendency to show our generic personality in order to fit in or not offend someone.Show your genuine self and watch your website traffic soar. And in turn, your sells will take off!

I wish you much success in all you do.

I agree completely! I was so surprised upon joining here the emphasis that Kyle placed on putting up a real picture and in depth profile, but I must say it created an environment of trust, and made me feel compelled to be open and honest back. I am looking forward to saying, "HERE I AM" with my website soon!

Well said Zuly. I look forward to your success.

Love the way you connected those two things! It's so true! You HAVE to put yourself out there - something that I am not always good at.

Yes Katie. We scrutinize celebrities all the time. But that comes with the territory. The saying is true. "It's lonely at the top".
