Is this a LEGIT reason to dissaprove a comment?
Hi,
So WA has this great amazing feature of asking for comments. I love it. I think it's one of the best things here.
When we want to gain credit we are commenting on other articles that are suggested to us. Naturally, not all the articles are within our interests, or sometimes they are within our interests, but the writing is not very good, and the article itself is not very interesting.
Since I still do want to gain the credits, I gather all the patiance I have to read even stuff I don't really like, and I gather all the creativity I have to come up with a nice constructive comment.
And then I get this:

"Disapproval Reason: Hi, thanks for the comment. However, your comment is too general and it feels like no part of the article interested you. It is true that I did write the advantages and disadvantages, but I would have appreciated if you can point out which advantage or disadvantage stood up to you as a mother. For example something like, "cloth diapers are tempting to me because they stop blowouts better". Because your comment lacked that, it felt a little "forced" and not genuine enough. Sorry about that. I have to disapprove it."
SERIOUSLY??? I was not specific ENOUGH???
Is this even a LEGIT reason to dissaprove a comment?
The truth is that this article was about diapers, and I am a mother of two kids who still use diapers, so it is within my interest. But the article was just bad! If I would write an honest comment, I would write that this article was a complete waist of my time. Instead, I really really really tried to write something nice, constructive and encouraging. I invested my time and efforts to write this comment.
When this comment was dissaproved my rank in WA dropped from 5381 to 24827! Not that I think it really affects anything, LOL :D, but it just gives a really bad feeling!!! :(
Next time, if you don't like someones comment, remember that it's also an option to approve it, and then just go and delete it. This is what I do with comments I don't like. If a person invested his time in commenting on my post - I appreciate it, I'm thankful, and I approve the comment, even if it's not exactly what I was expecting. Then, if I didn't really like it, I just delete it.
It's unnecessary to mention, of course, that I will never ever comment on this site again.

Hi Anna,
Stay active on WA and your rank will quickly improve again. You've already gained back 10,000 places since the rejection.
Being rejected certainly does hurt our feelings, but we can also train ourselves to look for the lesson or the "silver lining" that each experience brings.
In this case, she actually gave you some good advice! She's teaching you that ***very specific comments*** in response to the post are what she and a lot of other bloggers are looking for.
I would also add that, after saying something very specific, you can boost the probability of having your comment accepted by *** asking a specific question *** in relation to the topic. The question should enable the blogger to take the conversation further.
For example:
"... cloth diapers are tempting to me because they stop blowouts better, *** but what's the best way to wash them? Do you have any tips? ***
I do agree with you though. I would have accepted the comment and considered editing it into an "improved version". After all, a well-intentioned comment is a nice piece of free content. :)
By the way, another good thing about your experience is that it gave you a topic to blog about here at WA!
All the best,
David Hurley

I was doing a little training on media marketing
This what it said about negative comments
If you recieve bad comments this good from any business perspective
We on here are building websites
Say i was building a website and my niche in this case is baby nappies
I write a blog and a mother of two wrote a negative comment
This is what i believe would be the best way to handle it
Firstly see how you can change your blog to get that mother of two on board next feature bad comment and explain that mother of two was correct and outline changes you have made to your information
This will advertise that you are just like your readers human and capable of mistake and the outcome just may be a army of
Mother of two children clicking your affiliatte links
And filling your paypal account
I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you feel like you have done your best with your comment, don't worry about the reaction of others. I have found myself many times going through an uninteresting article and trying to write a positive comment, just like you. I have been disapproved two times. One time my comment was disapproved because" I was not talking about the online version of a computer game but instead on single player. The post was really bad, but I strongly believe that we are a community of helping others and that is what I was trying to do with my comment.
Don't worry about it just keep providing quality comments to other members' websites and focus on helping others. If you make that your mission within WA, your ranking will increase rapidly. I started out 99000 and within 3-4 months I got in the top 200. Now I am 416 but ranking doesn't mean anything. You helping others however does.
I agree with you from the point of view of the bad writing of a post and the need to provide a comment (for whatever the reason).
This is also a problem of today's society where it is difficult for people to accept a criticism without major dramas erupting.
I find that if I am in the position of writing a comment on a post, and I am not in awe of the written content then I will try to be positive without being glowing.

I had two such comments disapproved and was banned from leaving any more comments because the receivers complained about them.
