Amazon Is Going To Close My Account - What To Do?
Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out here...
I got the email from Amazon re: closing my account due to NO sales. I still have a little bit of time but I sure would hate to lose out on not being able to promote Amazon products anymore.
I have placed relevant Amazon links (text and image) throughout my posts to various products (mostly books and Audio CD's as I have a self improvement niche). I have gone through Steve's wonderful training on 'Tips To Improve Amazon Earnings' and incorporated many of his suggestions. Should I resort to putting Amazon banners/images on my sidebar even though I was trying to avoid that because I've heard it is not very effective?
I only have 2 product reviews (they're not Amazon products though) on my site thus far, but I plan on doing a lot more as I build it out. However, as I mentioned earlier, there ARE plenty of Amazon links scattered around within my posts.

to generate a few sales to keep your account open: Ask a few of your friends who are going to purchase something to to to your site and click on any of your amazon links, then search for what they are going to buy and purchase it then. Your cookie that got them there is will give you credit for the sale. it will help you buy more time until your site is generating its own sales. just an idea that I used when My site was just starting out. I have less experience than you as an affiliate marketer so far, but here is a thought:
When I see your rich, flowing posts, full of illumination in your writing and your visuals, I feel I am reading a good, curl up in my chair read!:)
Your site doesn't feel remotely 'spammy', and you have placed fairly subtle links within the text. GOOD on you!
It's my feeling you could replace a couple of your links with Amazon banners within your flow...or why NOT a couple in your sidebar. Because even your sidebar is fairly subtle.
You have a gentle, beautiful blog, Anna, and I know what feel you are going for.
Again, because you are not even remotely 'spammy', you should use maybe 3 attractive affiliate visuals/banners of some kind.
I don't know much yet, but I care, as we all do!
