I'm Online (this time for real)
In my second attempt to make it to the online world I have actually bought a proper domain, written About Me page, fiddled a bit with the Wordpress theme and penciled a few blog post (in draft for now). So I can confidently say that I have build my first fort. I'm not sure if you have also struggled so painfully with choosing a name for your website, but for me it took 6 weeks of endless brainstorming, word crunching/pairing/transforming to finally come up with a name that fully reflects and summarises what this space will be about and what my goals and aspirations are for this website. This experience taught me that I definitely should invest more time writing as after all, practice is the mother of skill.
I will go back to WA training now to learn all there is to know about traffic, social media campaigns, and ads. As the website grows and I create more content I hope to attract subscribers and perhaps master the art of newsletters and learn how to 'be everywhere' in <20min per week (in the words of Nicola Cairncross). After all - I'm a working mum, which makes me a Master Multitasker and Jack-of-all-Trades already so surely two more skills won't be a problem.
(Many thanks to Samuel Clara on Unsplash for this gorgeous and to me, a very inspirational image).
