Hi, Robert. I recall a couple of posts regarding WP Super Cache that you might want to check out.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/nathaniell/blog/wp-super-cache-have-you-used-it
(review Rich's response to Nathaniel)
AND a warning by Craig (Labman) posted just as recently as this past April:

Hope that helps you!

Thanks for your answer. I had a look at the posts before I posted mine, and I think I understand the advantage/ disadvantage. My challenge is 'how to see on what pages the plugin is working': somebody told me it's working on 1 out of 3 pages, but I don't know how to check that...
Oh, I see. I'm sure there are quite a few WA members out there tonight who will jump on your issue soon. They are definitely more "expert" than me at this point :o)
In the meantime, though, have you seen this excerpt from the WordPress FAQ file:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/faq/
It talks about setting up your WP Super Cache plugin for debugging capabilities and then, being able to view your log file (and page source file) to see if your blog is being cached properly. I believe that also means being able to see which of your pages are/aren't being cached.
