Managing Stress
Ever feel like everything possible is coming at you and the stress level just keeps rising, how do we manage these situations. I always tell my dog you have the best life no stress, no bills all your needs are taken care of.
So how do we get from OMG to that feel-good moment?
1. Mediate
Find a quiet place at home and a few minutes of practice open up the mind. On the floor sit up straight and close your eyes. Play some mediation music and focus your attention saying "OM" or a positive mantra such as “I feel at peace” or “I love myself.” Place one hand on your belly to sync the mantra with your breaths. Let any distracting thoughts float by like clouds.
2. Breathe deeply
Yoga Breathing, Take a 5-minute break and focus on your breathing. Sit up straight, with your eyes closed, with a hand on your belly. Slowly inhale through your nose, feeling the breath start in your abdomen and work its way to the top of your head. Reverse the process as you exhale through your mouth.
“Deep breathing counters the effects of stress by slowing the heart rate and lowering blood pressure,” according to psychologist Judith Tutin, PhD, says. She's a certified life coach in Rome, GA.
3. Be Present, In the Moment
Take at the moment you are in, listening to your favorite sound. For 5 mins, focus your mind on only one behavior with full awareness. Go for some fresh air feel the breeze caressing your face, focus, and enjoy.
When you spend time in the moment and focus on your senses, you should feel less tense.
4. Sleep
Can Sleep Take Away Your Stress? Sleep is a powerful stress reducer. Following a good sleep, routine calms and restores the body, improves concentration, regulates mood, and sharpens judgment and decision-making. When well-rested you are a better problem solver which can help with problem-solving.
5. Drive to the Beach
Take a long drive to the North Coast allowing the fresh and natural breeze to blow unto your face and hair giving you that exhilarating feeling when you inhale oxygen. When you arrive at the beach Maracas orBlanchissuse relax and listen to the crashing waves. Forget the world, forget the stress the best medicine ever.
7. Talk to Your Dog
Not sure if any of you have tried this. A dog listens to you attentively and does not answer you back but yet seems to understand. I got our dog as a baby and my DAD had just passed away about 1 month ago. I would sit with the puppy on my lap and talk to him for hours and he would look at me with his loving eyes as though he understood everything I was saying. So amazing and he is still that way today, he is now twelve years old.
8. Be Grateful
Say a prayer and be grateful for the little things in your life. Keep a gratitude journal or several which will help you remember all the wonderful things in your life. “Being grateful for your blessings cancels out negative thoughts and worries,” says Joni Emmerling, a wellness coach in Greenville, NC.Use these journals to savor good experiences like a child’s smile, a sunshine-filled day, and good health.
Sometimes we take our accomplishments for granted, remember to celebrate all our achievements. This would make us feel good.
9. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
Ever notice how exercise makes us feel good. Exercise in any form acts as a stress reliever. Being active can boost your feel-good endorphins and distract you from daily worries. Physical activity helps you to destress and gives you a better quality of life. Exercise makes you feel positive.
Remember,
"We can only change what is in our control and what we cannot change we leave in the hands of the LORD"

Thanks for sharing those tips. But we say we leave our baggage with God, but keep going back and lifting it again. It's very hard when you can't control what is going on.
Life is a journey and stressful events help us to evolve into the best version of ourselves

Can be a painful evolution though. Some die in the process.
