A bright idea! a bright money making idea!
I had a light bulb moment a couple weeks ago when the my niece's stylist went MIA after her salon closed. I did some digging online and on social media but I soon realized her entire web presence was associated with her salon...the one that was no longer open for business.
This conundrum is what prompted my bright idea! One thing I have learned here at WA is the best way to increase revenue is see a need and provide a service meeting that need! So what was my bright idea you ask? I decided to build an internet directory niche and location specific! Yes there is Yelp and Yellow Pages but the info is so outdated, unmanned and a load of boohockey when you try to call the numbers! AND it is only a number to the salon, not the specific stylist. So I built an internet directory which focuses on the stylists and not just the salon. They can claim their listing and update basic info for free. The free option increases the data on my site giving it some credibility as well as building me an email marketing list where I can market my salon specific affiliate "stuff". Above the free option, they can opt to pay a small fee monthly or annually to post a gallery of videos and to have booking options. Once I perfect the process with my hometown, I plan to duplicate the process for surrounding cities.

My niche may not work for you, but then again...we all live in different areas of the world. We are looking to boost our revenue, if you build an internet directory, what are the chances we chose the same niche? What are the chances we live in the same city? Not very likely!
I found free themes and some free plugins that makes the directory itself functional. I have opted to purchase a few extras that provides nearly unlimited pricing and coupon options.
