The Difference Between Genuine and Empty Content - The Importance of Picking a Niche You Love

I've been writing and editing content for a long time and would like to discuss the difference between what I would classify as "empty content" and content that is genuine. Anyone who writes about stuff they are familiar with, can write about particular issues, related products, or offer tips and advice.

As online marketing is growing in value, a lot of posts have become result-driven and lost their essence in the process. Let me give you an example. I could write about lawn mowers even though I never mow the lawn. It's quite easy to write relatively well on any subject. But, unless you have some personal connection to the topic you are writing about and just do so for marketing purposes the post is unlikely to stick.

Pick a Niche You Love and Know About

If you want to write good content, make sure you love your niche and know a thing or two about it. Don't choose a niche for financial reasons or because you think a specific niche is more lucrative than another. You are much better off selecting one of your passions and sharing your knowledge. That way, you become a true expert in your field. The writing process will also be easier because you know your topic.

Genuine Content Wins Followers

Follower numbers increase if your content is genuine and you deliver valuable information. Once you are writing about a niche you love, your content will be educational and engaging.

Let Google Keywords Help You Along

Google knows and tracks what people want to know. So, when you are using a keyword tool, the words you find connect you with your potential audience. You are one one side with expertise, your target audience is on the other side and Google helps to bring the two together. Let me give you an example. Say, you are an expert in fixing motorcycles. Your target audience are people who need advice on how to fix a motorcycle. Google and the keyword tools will show you what kind of questions your target audience is asking. Once you identify a question/keyword, you can provide the answer in a post. This way, your expertise meets the needs of your target audience.

Choose a Niche You Love and Deliver Top Content

So, when you are trying to find a niche or write good content, try to provide valuable information around your expertise. If you love your niche, it shouldn't be too difficult.

I totally agree with this, its like a job and like my dad has told me since I was a kid and even now being 28. "If you dont love your job why work there?" Its just like you basically said love what you write about then it will, come natural and write good content without really thinking about. I think people could learn from this thanks for sharing.
