Thank You, September

September has always felt like a blessed month to me.

Four people I am incredibly grateful for were born in this month: my mum, two of my best friends , and the love of my life.

So naturally, September has a special place in my heart.

But this year, it taught me more than just gratitude. It taught me a lot about people, growth and perspective.

What I Learned Personally.

Personally, September reminded me to appreciate what I already have.

The right people can make life feel lighter, even when everything isn't perfect. I have learned that growth isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about protecting your peace, setting boundaries, and realising that not everything deserves your energy.

Sometimes you just have to look at a situation and think:

"Interesting. Anyway..." 😂

And move forward.

What I Learned Professionally.

Professionally , September reminded me how important honest communication really is.

I genuinely appreciate constructive feedback. If there is something that I can improve, tell me directly.

I'd rather have a much honest conversation than discover I was apparently the subject of a meeting I wasn't invited to.

There's a big difference between constructive criticism and unnecessary toxicity.

One helps people grow.

The other just creates noise.

I've also learned that not every negative situation needs to change who you are. You can acknowledge it, learn from it, and still choose to remain respectful and professional.

Looking for the Good.

September reminded me that focusing on the good doesn't mean ignoring the bad.

It means choosing what deserves your attention.

There will always be criticism, misunderstanding and people who communicate indirectly. But there will also be people who will support you, opportunities that help you grow, and experiences that teach you something valuable.

Take the lesson. Leave the unnecessary drama.

You gave me birthdays, memories, perspective, and a few professional life lessons along the way.

Not a bad month at all.
