Work from home and Disability

As some of you already know, I work as disability right advocate, in a disability organization. I want to start a project with my organization for introducing the people with disability into the affiliate marketing, blogging, and show them all other kinds of working from home opportunities. It would be related to the UN Agenda 2030 "Leave no one behind".

I am searching for ideas on pinterest and other media, that can help me develop the project idea, and use some experiences from all around the world related to this.

I know that there are many people who start working what we do when they suffer some accident and they need to stay at home. The same happened to me last summer when I broke my leg.

Does anybody of you know something about this kind of experiences? Could you share it with me?

I like your post and your idea I am disabled myself for 14 years my website to promote WA will be based around helping the disabled to see the advantages to affiliate marketing but not just the disabled that anyone can do this

A lot of people with disabilities can do the WA training. If they are capable of using a computer, they can do this.

I am in the middle of chaos at the moment. Please feel free to read my bio. Please pm me with whatever specific information you are looking for. I have also spent many years doing social security advocating and I filed my own SSDI claim which was approved on initial filing. I am excited to be able to help you any way I can.

Thank you Carole.

I will have a site in development done kin the next few months Anita. I'll be sure to be in touch with you!

I am happy to hear that Michael.

I know lots of people on disability all over the world who see online marketing as a last resort to get above the poverty line however they are still left behind as they lose their disability if they make money, but there is a big gap between starting and being successful and getting to the point where you have a stable income - to give up your meagre allowance when actually you can't go out and get a job or get your disability back if your efforts fail - in my country in Ireland they will give people incentives to become self employed but there is no real help in training and no safety net and those who fail don't get back on disability

Thanks for sharing this.

Fantastic idea! I know of many recipients of disability benefits and I am going to teach one person I know of that is a very talented artist and is finding it hard to live on the disability alone. I have been working on an idea for a while now and researching different ways and areas of interest. I know DShensky has a sight also of interest with disability recipients. Can you PM me with some details about your plan. I have something that might be of interest on that topic. I also am a Registered.nurse. Thank you! Nice talking with you for now.......Donna

Having a disability, I'd certainly read your site. But I haven't much of a story...so far...other than working online from home is the only way for me to supplement my income. Haven't achieved that yet...but I will. Debbie

Good job, can't really help with a story but feel your passion for helping and want to let you know that it's people like you who make life better for so many others. If there is any other way I can help, holler :)

Thank you Tony.

I do if your organization is in the US. I will PM you

I've been self-employed for more than 30 years since I couldn't find gainful employment.

a few years ago I wanted to establish a NPO called International Disabled Entrepreneurs. Inc to teach people with disabilities to be entrepreneurs. Never got it going because I didn't have the funds to set up the 501(c)3

Davida, I appreciate your work. It is impressive that you are 30 years self employed.

Would you be interested to share your experience when we implement the project in order to motivate people with disabilities in Macedonia get initiative and do something for themselves?

my experience was vastly different than the typical entrepreneur because I didn't have the opportunity to learn the skills from working for a company first and didn't have the ability to build up financial security before starting a business---these are learned skills from experience

I would love to, but remember I'm a Career Life Coach and a professional motivational speaker

I do a radio show every Saturday morning called Live Without Limits

You can tell your success story. Doesn't matter that you don't have experience from working in a company. That's what we need. Success stories from people that built their path by themselves. I am sure yours is worth telling.
