What an experienced grandma can tell you about affiliate marketing
Today I had nice talk and a coffee with my grandma. She is experienced lady (I don't say old, because her spirit is very young), retired teacher, and passionate mother and grandmother. Even in her 84th she still takes care of the houseworks by her own, never letting anyone to help her (I inherited the individualism from her).
She has always been and still is my role model. Her dedication in everything she does is contagious. Especially how she always managed to keep the family firm and raise high educated children and grandchildren.
I was telling her today what I do on the internet. She knew that I work online, but she didn't know what exactly I do. So, today I explain what we do in Wealthy Affiliate. I explained about Kyle and Carson, what they have done, and how they started spreading their knowledge (together with Jay) and teach us how to do the same. How to help and teach other people who are in need.
I thought that this will be very artificial for her, but she understood me very well. I feel bad that I underestimated her. :) At the end, she was doing the same thing as teacher, only offline.
What she said was: "You people are doing amazing job, starting from own interest, but your final goal is not at all self centered, but very very altruistic. When I chose my profession before so many years, the first reason was to have job and income. But after the first lesson held I figured out that my students gave me very important lesson. That I WAS THERE FOR THEM, NOT FOR MYSELF."

Great wisdom and great picture...definitely a family resemblance.
Enjoy your Sunday,

This is a great reminder of the mindset we should have when writing our content and interacting with our customers.
We need to focus on helping, teaching, and improving the lives of others. What we get in return will be far greater. Remember what goes around comes around.
Thanks so much for sharing this great story, I agree with you and with grandma, it's important to help others.
