Hi,
This was a lot of fiddling about and I wasn't properly able to test it, so perhaps you can add some custom CSS in the wordpress editor and try it with the following css:
.horisontal-navigation .current_page_item > a:before {
content: '\f430';
}
it says namely f429 which is a next arrow, while 430 is a previous arrow icon. They use here Genericons as a vector based font.

I am not entirely sure which code is the right one, but the arrow will be number based within the CSS. It refers to an ASCII code for each character within that font. ASCII codes are basically positions within the font file but also for the keyboard.

i did this with an plugin called "content aware sidebars"
but i cant fi
That kind of stuff is usually managed in the Appearance/ Customize area of the admin. Or sometimes in the Settings area where you can set up posts to be full width, with sidebar, etc, etc. Alternatively, your blog post itself may have this option - usually over on the right hand side of the admin area of the blog post. Your Theme documentation should point you in the right direction.

If you think you've tried everything, i think your theme may not support what you are trying to do. I ran into similar problems. Some Themes are better and more flexible than others. If you really like this theme and don't want to change, you may reach out to the makers; perhaps they can recommend a plugin or recommend a way around this.
Sidebars though should typically be on the right. Using the Appearance and widget feature, after you login to the site map, you can move the content of the sidebar around a little bit. You can even delete widgets you don't want. You can re-order etc..
As for the full width, you should be able to expand whatever picture or graphic you have. If not, either the theme doesn't support such or you need some plugin to be able to adjust the width. If it's looking like you've tried everything, you may want to reach out to the makers of the theme.
Another suggestion, if you haven't already done so, is that you search the community for similar problems and how it was dealt with. Don't be surprised there's probably a tutorial about this already.
