Dreaming of a bright future
This year has been a tough one. I separated from my husband, and he moved a thousand miles away. I was left to raise three children on my own, one of which has special needs. My mother moved in, which turned out was detrimental to our relationship. She was not the grandmother I had always dreamed my children could have, and now we are no longer talking. I had several basement floods which ruined my hot water heater, and my clothes dryer (twice). This past spring, I ended up in the hospital in the beginning stages of a stroke. They kept me there a few days, trying to figure out why somebody my age had such aggressively high blood pressure and such a high white blood cell count. In the end, they decided I just had an incredibly high amount of stress. Stress, it seems, can take quite the negative toll on your body.
Last week I had my power turned off, and had to go beg a charity service for help. This week my transmission is failing in my vehicle, and I have no idea how I am going to pay for that.
Despite all of this, I try to keep a positive mind. It isn't always easy, and sometimes I fall down, and I don't want to get up. Every night when the kids are finally asleep, I go out under the moon, and I pray. I ask for guidance. What I keep hearing is not to give up. Relief will come soon. I didn't really know how that could be. I have struggled for a long time to find appropriate care for my daughter, and the summers are the hardest because she is not in school.
When I found Wealthy Affiliate on a fluke late one night I didn't know what to expect. I had been looking for ways to make money online, from home, but to no avail. Everything seemed like a scam. I signed up for this, just thinking I would check it out for free for a while.
I did the first lesson. When I finished, I felt my whole body shaking with excitement. Maybe this could be the solution I have been looking for! I went out under the stars and I meditated like I usually do. When I was finished, I just felt in my heart I could trust Wealthy Affiliate. I believed I could do it. I could make a better life for us.
As the lessons continued, I got more and more excited. As my world fell apart around me, I tried to spend a little bit of time on it each night. It seems so perfect for me! I like to write. As a matter of fact my biggest and most secret dream has been to be a fiction writer, and I have been writing for 22 years now. Someday I hope to clean it up and publish it. I started out, long before that, with journaling. It wasn't for anybody else but me. I needed a way to process everything I was going through in my childhood and my adolescence, and it just came so naturally that I would write about it.
Through writing, and processing my pain, I began to feel a newfound joy in my life. I, as my new spiritual friends call it, "awakened". I began to trust in the Divine Creator, whatever you choose to call this being. I believe that I had to go through everything I went through to become who I am today. Not perfect. Sometimes a hot mess. It is through my imperfections and messiness that I able to connect with others. I do this quite often, actually, through all sorts of venues. Now, I am thinking about how I can monetize this, without ripping people off or overcharging. What if I can sell products that enhance their lives, and bring a little light into their dark times?
It is through this line of thinking that my new website, "3 of Stones" is born. Today I purchased my first website. I have wanted to do this for some time, but didn't know how. You see, I am creative. I am in no way technically advanced. I thank you for this opportunity, Kyle and Carson, as well as God. I have so many ideas, and I am so enthusiastic to move forward and bring them to life!
