1 Month Down, 2 To Go!

Here we are, 1 month into a 3-month experiment and it is getting interesting. I have stayed true to posting 2 articles a week that I then turn into Pins on Pinterest. 10 TOBI Pins, 10 Picture Pins, and 10 Scout Pins per board, 1 board per post. The only link is to the article, though I do have to admit that the temptation is real when it comes to wanting to link directly to my affiliate links.

So, without further ado, here is how the traffic is going on Pinterest as of this morning:

I have to stop myself from checking this every single day because I am amazed at how many impressions my Pins are getting. That, however, is only translating to a small fraction of outbound clicks. I started this Pinterest account on March 14th, so it has been a little over 4 weeks since then. While the impressions are staggering, the amount of traffic I'm actually getting is minimal. Do I still consider this to be in the marinating stage, or does something else need to be tweaked? Things I am contemplating this week.

What I honestly overlooked for the past 3 weeks was that I did not have the analytics turned on and was only reporting on the Google Search Console. My bad! So here is the real deal with traffic coming to my site. While it may not seem like much, could this be the beginning of my websites climb to 10k visitors per month? Does this show that the marinating is over and the real fun begins?

As is, I will be staying to true to my plan for the next 2 months. Continuing the 2 posts/week with all associated Pinterest Pins. Once I get to the end of month 3, then I will start tweaking where needed to see if I can get even better results. Stay tuned to see how this all works out from a very unlikely website!
