hi guys I cant for the life of me add banners or adds or amazon widgets. NOTHING! and its giving me heart palpatations LOL can anyone help me. I have the blue planet theme but I

I am not sure how the blue planet theme work
nomaly just go to your dashboard home and click on widget then you can see what are the widget and widget area is there. You can add the widget easily just drag and drop. to add the html code you need to use the text widget as Lindsey said.
Mahinthan

Are you pasting the HTML into the Text tab of your page/post editor? When pasting into a Widget, you need to paste the HTML into a Text widget. The widgets will show up in your sidebar or footer areas. Drag a Text widget box into the Widget area you want the banner, then paste the code into the box.
I hope this helps, if not, reply and let us know what process you are using and we'll go from there.
Lindsey

thanks heaps. let me try that. :-)

hi again. can you look at my website please. http://thenappybag.net I can put a banner in a post as I did but how can I get that on the top or bottom of my page if you know what I mean

ok I got one in my side bar :-) but what about down the side and the top and or bottom :-)

ive done it thanks to u xxxxxx

If your theme allows it, then you should have separate widget areas to place text widgets in (secondary sidebar, footer). If your theme doesn't have more than one widget area you might want to consider a different theme. The tall/long banners are the same as the others, you just need to find the shape and style of the banner you want.

Welcome! Happy to help =)

hi guys I need to get a domain but don't want to spend much so who should I use

Hi Angela. I recommend to buy a domain at Namecheap. Ask Kyle said don't be fooled by $0.99 domains. Inhave a review for that I hope helps you! :)

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jespinola/blog/namecheap-vs-godaddy-rip-off

Hi Angie, In the past I have used Go daddy but most of the members recommend Name cheap there all around $10 for .com but they frequently have offers all over the place from 30 to 70 % - But its the renewals that vary a lot sometimes by as much as 20$ for a year if you can afford it register for two years you usually get a deal on that when you are ready to purchase let me know - I will be mor than happy to help.

Ray Bowley ( Merryman88 )

Namecheap.com is what I recommend. You can get a .com there for around $12 with no hidden fees or up sells. Just get the domain and that is it as you have hosting here at wa as part of a premium membership.

Their DNS transfer process is about the fastest I have seen as well, allowing you to get your websites up and running quicker after purchase.

Don't be fooled by $0.99 domains, they often are $30-$49 come time to rebook.

thanks heaps. how do I do the dns transfer it looks tricky?

buy at namecheap.com

hi all. I want to use amazon in US for affiliate etc.. so if I create how do I make sure US people are seeing my stuff and not Australians as im in Australia?.. thanks

sometimes I feel that it is a lot harder for us Aussies to make things work. It is so much more expensive for us.

Thanks for putting up this discussion topic!

Have a look at Dom's training on Amazon. It'll help you get set up right. Join all the Amazon countries that you can and follow his training. Let him or I know if you need help with it. :)
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/using-the-amazon-link-localizer

Google will list .com.au sites first generally for Australian searchers (assuming the site is ranked well.) If you have a .com or .org site, there is no way to tell that you are in Australia unless you write that in your about me page. Your site will appear on the page it's ranked for world wide viewers. People from all over the world will be visiting without ever knowing it's an "Australian" site.

You sign up for the amazon program anyway. There's no way to make sure us Aussies won't see your site or what you are selling on it, that's just not really possible.

You need to be aware, unless you live in the US, then the only way you can choose to be paid is by amazon credit cards or by chequie - and I believe the exchange rate is a bit ridiculous when changing currency.

The US/AU exchange rate was favorable for a while, but not now. It's the same with any affiliate commission from the U.S.

Depending on the bank, the cheque processing fee can be high. On my first Amazon cheque the bank wanted to charge me $35 on a $110 cheque that took 3 weeks to receive and another 4 weeks to clear. Ridiculous!

Ask your bank. It could depend on the type of account you have. It might be worth it to have a U.S. dollar account. It depends on the fees and conditions whether it is worth it for you. ~Jude

Interesting. This could probably apply to any US located affiliate program too? And question, is it possible to be paid in US instead of exchanging ?

If you're getting paid by Paypal, you can select to be paid in US dollars. I have mine set that way because I use the funds to pay certain fees in US dollars and don't have to bother with exchange rates then.

If your bank will let you have a foreign or US currency account, you can deposit US checks/cheques.

Is this what you are asking?

~Jude

Thanks. Yes you did a bit. I have never used paypal before, so I am not sure how that works in depth.

Welcome and please do not hesitate in asking for any help

You must sign up to be a member of the Associates program in each Amazon locale for which you will be selling. The link to join the Associates program in the U.S is this one:

For sales to US customers: http://www.amazon.com/associates

Down the track you might consider joining the Canadian, and UK
sites as well.

CA: http://www.amazon.ca/associates
UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/associates

With Amazon Kindle now in Australia, it could be that Amazon will extend its store locations and set up shop in Australia as well. Time will tell.

~Jude

thanku guys, cool, im excited to get started :-)

Good answer gina, and yes I agree if you have a us based service you should be fine, I purchased a domain from namecheap and using the WA hosting with it, 70% + of my traffic is US based

Hi, I am by no means an expert, but from what I can gather the location of the server your site is hosted on can have an impact. So, if you are using the free hosting on WA or a US based hosting service, it won't be an issue.
There is a short video here that may make it a bit clearer.

hi guys. I read in a forum someone living outside of the US uses payoneer to get paid by amazon and then can transfer it to their account. so does anyone in Australia do that? a

I'm glad there's a rep from Payoneer in here. I live in Liberia where there's no paypal. Does WA payout commissions through payoneer as well?

HI, my name is Nissim, I'm Head of Community at Payoneer. Thanks for considering us as a solution to receive your payments!

We have many accounts holders in Australia, a lot of which use Payoneer to receive earnings from Amazon and other US companies. To answer your question, it's free to sign up for a Payoneer account - account fees are deducted only once you've started to receive payments. If you sign up via our website, there is a full list of pricing available there (on the application page, before you submit any information).

A bit about safety, we're a fully regulated US company and Money Service Business, in operation since 2005. Today we work with thousands of companies and millions of Payoneer account holders, transferring billions of dollars each year. I'd be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have.

Its a small monthly fee for me as a bank account I thinkn $3.00 and I pay an extra $5,00 for fast load . no charge to use. there is a fee to transferr money like paypal

Thank you for asking this question. I've been wondering about payoneer myself.

Hi Angela, I am a member of another world wide network and I have a payoneer card that funds are transferred to. It cost a little, but I have never had a problem with them. I just use it as a debit card.

thanks for responding :-) does it cost money to have the account or do they take fees when money is deposited etc?
