How to add a downloadable PDF file to your posts

A few years ago, there was a how to post here on Wealthy Affiliate explaining the process of how to add a downloadable PDF file to your website. I haven’t been able to find it recently so here is a step-by-step guide.
1. Log into your website Wordpress backend in the usual way.
2. Find the post where you want to copy the link and click on edit the post.

3. Click on the button, to add media.
4. Click on upload files
5. Select the file or drag and drop into the window
6. Now copy the URL of the file to the clipboard. Note that you should NOT insert your PDF media into your post.
