My progress so far

I've been a member of WA for just over a month, I'm just at the end of part 2 of the training, I'm finding it brilliant even if I have to keep going back to see what I've missed, every time I watch the videos again I see something new that I didn't see before

what is my niche

I'm working on 2 websites, the first one is to do with the tile industry I've worked as a tiler and I own a tile showroom with my wife, I was tiling for 25 years but 3 years ago I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and I had to have a tumour removed this meant I needed to come off the tools (stop tiling) and I now work part time in the showroom.

This leads me to my other site. As a consequence of my treatment I have been left with a permanent stoma, you would be surprised to learn how many people world wide have either a permanent or temporary stoma so I want to share my experiences and the products I use to help me cope with life with a stoma

I'm also a keen runner which I have kept going since my operation its been a focus for me on my road to recovery, I have started a blog on my site recording my training for the Edinburgh marathon in May 2018 it would be great to get others involved in running or just keeping fit many people with a stoma become reclusive and never go out, this doesn't seem right so any way of encouraging someone by showing what can be done as got to be a good thing.

My early achievements

I have come a long way in a short time I have no experience of building web sites and I come from a age where computers are seen as alien creatures with a mind of their own, its a learning curve but I'm enjoying the challenge and looking forward to taking the next steps.

The next 3 months

I will carry on with the course and I will carry on building out my network of friends learning more and putting it into practice

I need to get to the first sale stage and then get over the hurdle of making that sale so that I can scale it up when I've got everything in order

I hope to find some mentors out there to help me along the way when I reach that stage

I've already met some great people here at WA the community is so encouraging and helpful I think if you set your mind on success and you are patient and work at it

it will come !!

And after that

I have another idea for a web site and I've started working on it but that's a longer term project

when I've completed the training for my own site I will move on to the boot camp I already feel happy promoting WA its such a great product

I've ended writing far more than I intended to and I could probably write loads more about what I want to get out of this experience but I think its good to plan and its even better to be flexible and adapt to how this chance develops.

so that's where I will leave it, I will be back with a update soon until then thanks for taking the time to read this blog

If you have any comments leave them for me so I can get back to you with a reply

All the best to everyone out there in WA and here's to a successful 2018

Andy

I am very excited for you, but at the same time you have some unfortunate obstacles. I am very sorry for your diagnosis. It sounds like you are making great progress both with your recovery and your website. I wish you the best of luck going forward. Keep on with the training, it is fantastic.

Hi Steve, thanks for the message I'm in a really good place I was one of the lucky ones it was caught early so I'm 3 years down the road and all clear and I've got the stoma side of things sorted
