Few words about creativity.

I thought i would share a cool story about taking chances and creativity. So it was a cloudy Thursday the clock on the wall was saying 12.40 pm. I went to check if documents need to be delivered to register of Companies. Turns out yeah, there is. Thought they would be ready in few minutes. On Thursday they work till 1pm, and I got the documents arround 12.48. So i looked on the watch, and though that is a tough call, after all needed to go to bank to pay the fees, to attached them to documents.

Well in a mad dash i went to the bank after a quarter of miles and like 4 minutes i was there. The bank operator was quickly proceeding with the transactions. As the time draw-ed closer and closer, decide to call register of Companies office to say, could they wait couple minutes. The thing was nobody answered at that point i could just go back to my office and bring the documents in tomorrow. Instead i was determined to bring them in today. My reasoning was that if i can bring them today, our clients will get the documents faster!

Finished the transaction and wished good day to the bank operator i was on my way. The clock now was 1.02pm, and had another quarter of mile to go to register of Companies. During this walk called their office, without a response. So finally i got before the doors of register of Companies reach for the handle, and it was locked. Decided to knock, once, twice.. nothing.

Called again, one time, then again, I even sent a message to workers facebook profile, without no results. Still i kept at it and didn't want to quit. I heard some close movement behind the door and did knock few times, to no avail.

Then suddenly i had an idea, why don't i write on a piece of paper and slip it under the door? They might look at it and maybe could let me in. Luck would have it i had a pen and i had piece of paper. I folded it and then slipped it under the door. After like 1 minute i heard steps going in the direction of the door and yaay the sound of keys indicated is opening up. So she opened the door saw it was me and let me in. We both laughed and i was able to leave the documents.

What i learned from this experience is that, if it looks like a tough call, but you still take action on it, there is a much bigger chance that you will succeed then when you don't take any action at all.
