Hi,
So I just discovered that one of my posts is ranked no.3 on the 1st page of google search however the link no longer works since I transferred my site over here.
Just go to Goolge Search Console and there just go to Crawl and then Fetch as Google. Here's the quick tech for that Submit Content to Google Index
Hey, thanks for your reply. I've been told that I will need to do a redirect. Going to google how to do that now!

You might want to do a manual redirect so you don't have to rely on a plugin for the rest of your site life! Two Ways To Create A 301 Redirect
Hi Nathaniell, I am having such a bad day with my website today!
Thanks for the link, it was very useful! I decided to try plugin since I don't even know what an FTP is at the moment (lol) but I can't even do the plugin right!
I put /2015/04/11/trust-in-the-timing-of-your-life/ in the first box (my old post) and /trust-in-the-timing-of-your-life in the second box (new post) - it saved settings but the redirect didn't work when I tried. Is this because it will take some time to adjust?
I was just concerned as my old post starts with https:// instead of http:// so may need more than just the end bit of the url?
The redirect should work immediately, but will not be replaced in Google immediately.
Your old URL should not start with https, since your website doesn't have that capability if it's hosted at WA.
it was https as it was with wordpress, but now I have moved it over to WA so it has become http. That's ok, I'm just going to have to cut my losses and hope to 're-rank' with the new URL!
Ohh, so you were reuploading your Wordpress site to be hosted at WA? Yeah, there's a good chance something went wrong during the process.
The good news is that you could really just copy/paste the content over and as long as you delete the old site when you're done, you'll be fine. It'll take a while to re-rank and may not be exactly as it was before, but it'll be close enough to get you moving in the right direction.
Let me know if everything gets reindexed properly!
Yep, Wordpress tech staff changed the DNS for me so it switched over here and then I imported the XML file of my site onto here. I'm pretty sure the old site is deleted now.
The site manager says my site is indexed - does that mean my new URL is already indexed? Or is it confusing my site with the previous URL? Is there anything that I need to do?

I'm talking to site support but thought I'd reach out to the community incase anyone knows the answer. Below is a process of what I did (followed instructions from tutorial).</
Click on the "All in SEO" tab on the left hand menu in your wordpress control panel. Scroll down and look for "Home page title format". Now see what's written on the right of it - If it is this "%page_title% - %blog_title%" then just remove " - %blog_title%" from it. I hope it works!
Hey thanks for your response, I contacted the support staff at SEO plugin and they said its due to a minor bug with the preview snippet and they are working on it.
I thought I would go crazy trying to resolve it! lol.

Hi,
I am not very good at this and would appreciate some help. I was talking to the WP tech staff and they changed the DNS to the ones given by WA but now what do I need
Wait until the dns has changed over maybe forty eight hours then install a new wp blog/dashboard/import and then upload your exported content
Thank you! Does it matter if I've already created a new wp blog and started import before the DNS has changed? Because I've just started importing... Oops..!
I see. okay.. Should I cancel it or just leave it be and once the DNS changes it will be ready?
