Facebook Groups and How to Sell Without Selling

Do you have a product or a service that you want to offer to your customers but you don’t want to sound too salesy?

Selling is not just about the offer. Yes, without making an offer, it can be much harder to SELL. But you can still sell without selling.

Someone recently asked me what’s the point in being in Facebook Groups that don’t allow promo (aka selling). Is it worth or not the time and effort?

Newsflash: Every time you are talking to a customer you are selling something!!!

If you are in a group that allows promotions or not, you need to know that your customer is watching you. He or she will learn about who you are, what is your style, analyze how you approach others, what are your values or interests.

Sales is built on solid relationships

I am in more Facebook groups that I can think of. A lot of time I forget I am in certain groups until I get a notification. They are both groups that allow promos and groups that don’t allow promotions. Both groups have their own purpose.

HOW DO YOU SELL WITHOUT SELLING?

You have to give more to your customers than what you are taking from them. Give them value, solve their problem! Show them what you know and give them support, help them with what they need and how they need it.

I see many people asking others to send them a message if they need help. I may have done that when I started, but I think it is better to give them the information they are looking for in your comment.

Create a connection with your customer and start a genuine connection. People will buy what you are selling if they KNOW-LIKE-TRUST you! Get to know them first before you start selling them something.

Add value to what you are giving to your customer. Your content should target a specific need your customers have. It is great to uplift with a quote, but that is not enough! Add WHY you decided to share that content at that time. What inspired you to share it? Share your WHY, provide a blueprint on how you will achieve it, provide “how to” information that your customers need to solve their problem, show them behind the scenes that your customers will relate to or will help them to relate to you!

I am part of both promo and non-promo groups! The majority of my clients come from non-promo groups. These groups provide tremendous market research for you!

If you are wondering if they are worth it or not, my answer is YES, they are! They are definitely time-consuming! In the end, I say it’s worth it because not only I learn useful business and market research info but I also get my customers from there as well.

The WA member I joined under, Roger of Affiliate Marketing Training, stated "his emailing news letters have 80% content and only 20% have sells links." His philosophy is similar to yours. Provide information and help all you can. You will reap the rewards in time.

It appears the WA system is the same. Provide a learning system without up sales. Give people more, improve the value without increasing pricing.
