1st Page on Google in Less than One Month

I rarely check google analytics. I know I should check it more often but I just don't have the time. It's really no excuse, but, I was cleaning some clutter in one of the websites I designed and I noticed that one of the new pages I created was indexed on google.

To my surprise it was on 1st page for the exact key words I've been trying to rank other pages. It's not in the first 3 as I would have liked, but I consider it a win. It is a high ranking keyword with lots of competition.

We haven't changed anything in how we market the website. Our main audience comes from Facebook. We are starting though to increase the visibility of the website by batching content on other platforms. We haven't done any paid advertising in more than half a year.

We have also outlined a powerful online content strategy that we will deploy soon. Publishing high-quality content is one of our top priorities going forward. Additional strategies we are mapping are using social media and influencers to promote our products and delivering an impecable user experience.

• Couple of other things we noticed we need to do going forward:
• Stay updated. Google changes their search algorithms 5-600 times/year
• Constantly modify our SEO strategy... I confess we don't really have one, but we will get one in place.
• Need to stay on top of peridic website audits.
• Claim our listing - we didn't have one for this website, and I need to check if we have any listings for our other websites as well.
• become more visible
• do more training on SEO and keyword search/ranking

So, lessons learned.
