Could anyone please help me with a (long) list of things? :)

Hi all,

I have a lot of questions regarding my website and affiliate marketing practices that I thought would be better to add it as a blog post rather than writing them after a specific article or video.

  1. The first question is: when is a good moment to add our first product review? I’m about to finish level 2 of the online training, and there are two tasks about writing low competition keyword-rich posts (in addition to the two we had to initially write and that are currently on my website). Will the review posts be touched later on during the training? I have the feeling that if I add two other articles that are not product reviews, and after that I start reviewing, I will have 4 blog posts in a row that are not reviews, and then several reviews in a row. I don’t think that looks good because it can confuse people and it can make it difficult for them to find the product reviews and click into the affiliate links. Isn’t it better to alternate both type of articles (informative/reviews), or putting them together (adding an affiliate link of a product to an informative note?) I have seen websites where people have added an affiliate link on the 3rdpost. However, I have reached the 4thwriting task on the training and nothing about an affiliate link/review has been mentioned.

    2. When adding an affiliate link of a product from Amazon, for example, is it cheeky to add two links if the product comes in two different sizes?

    3. Does using the word “expensive” when reviewing a product, when it is pricey, drive people off from purchasing the product? Or does it sound like you are being honest with them?

    4. I have tried to find royalty free images from the websites Kyle suggested on the video training, but I haven’t been able to find a lot, or very suitable ones, about natural skincare. Does someone know other royalty free sites that I could try?

    5. I have seen somewhere on Wealthy Affiliate a post about cutting the permalink of an article when it’s very long, as this apparently helps to be indexed on Google quicker. It seems it helped with one of my posts, but not the other. What are your thoughts about it?

    6. If I decide to move to another country (say Ireland, Germany, where they have the euro as currency), and I'm successful with by website, making good money from it, would it be a problem that the affiliate programmes I will sign up are in British pounds (there are two Australian brands I'm going to work with, but they also operate in pounds). Will I receive the money in my UK account, or is there the possibility to move the money you receive from the purchases to another account?

    7. There are several training videos about how to choose low competition words for your posts, so you can appear on Google searches, but nothing has been mentioned on how to set up your entire website based on keyword really carefully selected to rank high on Google searches, what we call SEO purely. Is this included at any stage of the online entrepeneur training?

    8. I edited the title of my first blog post a couple of times (and a few words of the body) through WordPress. As of yesterday, when I saw my website on the search results on Google, I could see the About Me section and the updated title of the first article I wrote. However, next to it, I could see again my first blog posts twice (with the old titles it previously had). Why did this happen, if I changed it on WordPress? Is it because on SiteContent, when we first write our articles, the original one was there? As Kyle said, we can only edit content through WordPress. However, to my surprise, I was able to update the title and the body of that first article on SiteContent (the addition date was changed to yesterday). Now today, when I Google again my website, I can still see my first blog post, but now it only appears with the very first old title it had. Why the most recent one has disappeared, if it was updated on WordPress (and SiteContent). I have attached an image.

Many thanks in advance. I really appreciate your help.

        Andrea

        I'm also VERY interested in #7 :)

#8 -- If you're using the Google Search Console, you can manually request it to refresh / reindex your page after you've made changes to it.

I'll take #6 first - how you get paid will vary based on the program and/or network you are working with. Each has their own processes, so there's no way for us to answer that question. You'll need to ask them.

Also, #4 - for a niche as specific as yours, you may need to actually buy some photos to get what you want. There are some sites that are inexpensive, but I wouldn't count on finding free ones that are that specific.

#8 - It may take Google a while to catch up on small changes.
