Thoughts on my first few days and the future
I've learned a lot in just a few days. I'm incredibly motivated and eager to learn more!
I have a mom blog. I know, I know. It's not a tight niche, but I enjoy it and will hopefully come into my own as a mom blogger. It's a mix of parenting trials, life updates, and fitness updates. It'll be a parenting journey, fitness journey, and one day again a pregnancy journey.
I really want to think about my goals, both short term and long term. For me, it's important to set short term goals so I can look back and feel like even though my long term goals aren't close, I am getting somewhere. I like progress.
So far I have:
1. Purchased my domain for my blog.
2. Increased my Twitter following.
3. Started a Pinterest account solely for my blog.
4. Posted three blogs in one week.
5. Increased my Twitter impressions.
What I really want to do by September 1 is:
1. Increase traffic to my blog using keywords and creative tags to reach my target audience.
2. Increase my Twitter following to over 1000! I am close to 400 now. I think this is an achievable goal by the end of August.
3. Utilize Pinterest to get traffic to my blog.
4. Continue to educate myself on the appropriate affiliate links for my blog.
By the end of 2016 I would like:
1. Over 2000 Twitter Followers.
2. Increased traffic from Pinterest to the blog.
3. Have a small, but decent, following on the blog. I'd like 20,000 hits in one month. This is a pipe dream, but I believe it could be achievable with hard work! It's good to have goals.
I don't have any financial goals just yet. As I have just started monetizing my blog, I will be happy with clicks until the end of the year. Of course, I'd like money to start.
Here are some one year goals for next July:
1. Make $100 in one month. This can be achieved sooner, I'm sure, but this thing won't happen overnight. I need to keep working. If I can get to this goal sooner, great!
2. Start to envision how I can make the blog my full time job and quit the rat race. I'm doing this side by side with my current full time job. I really want to work from home within a year, but I am not sure if I can make it happen. I will give myself one year to see if I can actually do this full time from home replacing my current income.
3. Over 5000 followers on Twitter. Must continue to post and market!
4. 1000 followers on Pinterest.
5. Have a professional designer re-do my site. This will depend on cost, but I'd love for someone to re-do and make it look incredibly professional.
I really do believe I can achieve my goals. I must remember success does not happen overnight and to keep working at what I am doing.

Looks like you have a well thought out plan
Thank you! Hopefully I can exceed my goals faster than my timeline.
You will, but the timeline is something which can be adjusted so don't get too concerned about that point! All in due time my friend!
