Good morning to you, Ama. I am sorry to see you go but I understand your reasoning. The first order you must accomplish is to find another "host" for your website. There are a lot of them, like HostGator, Bluehost, etc. You will have to contact them and get their DNS server information. Next, you will get your new host to build your new WordPress website. You will come back to WA and through support and have them point your website to the new host DNS Server setting.
VERY IMPORTANT! Be sure to download a copy of your website via your Website's Dashboard to your home computer for a backup copy. This is necessary because anything can happen with the migrating of your website from WA to your new host.
This normally takes only a couple of hours to complete. Good luck and Merry Christmas to you.
Ken

first thing to do is to back up your complete site with a plugin like wp clone or all in one migration
then select another hosting company - bluehost are pretty good but there are plenty of others out there.
find out the name servers for your new hosting
then go to sitedomains and click on settings and click on name servers
change them to your new hosting
you should be able to add your site to your list of sites on the new hosting.
remember by only doing this you will still pay sitedomains for the yearly fee - if you want ot transfer the domain to a new registar then get the transfer code from settings - transfer
after you have
after you have gone to yuor new hosting you will need to install wordpress and install the bakup software - then upload your site to your new hosting and you should be back up and running
good luck for the future
phil
don't forget with this new hosting you will be responsible for the protection of your site along with te spam.
so addition of akismet or anothe anti spam plugin will not go amiss.

How do I find my blog's URL RSS feed to set up a mail chimp campaign?

Thank you!

Happy to help if and when I can.

You actually have to have an RSS feed on your site.

There is a plugin for it.

I need to upload a file from the media library to my blog.

I apologize. It is actually an audio file. So that probably is the issue. When I click it shows as a permalink. How do I get that link on the page I posted on my blog?

You should be able to go to your medial library and copy that permalink. Then you can paste it into the link tool in your page or post. Now if you want it to play when people visit that page or post, that's a different story.

Oh shoot! What do I have to do to get it to play when folks visit? or which class/tutorial can I go to learn what to do? I appreciate you help so much.

Thank you both! I am referring to the one for site content.

When you say media library, are you talking about the one on your site, the one build into WA's Site Content tool or your medial library on your computer?

So to add an image in SiteContent just create a page or post, place your mouse where you want the image to appear and click the mountain looking icon. Once the window pops up, type a term in the search field an click search. You'll be provided with images to choose from. Insert the image and publish your work.

Now, if you're looking to add images but have already published your work, a work around I've used is to create a dummy post and fill it with the images I want to use. I then publish it, which uploads the images to my site and then I go in and delete the dummy post. The image remain in my local media library and I can go into my existing pages and posts and insert them wherever I want.

If you mean the media library on the site content you just click on the image and from the pull down selections it asks you which website you want to post it on. If you mean the library here at WA, you can right click the image, save it to one of your files on your computer and then upload it to your media section on your blog;

I need to put an audio recording on my post.

If it isn't too large, you can just load it into your media files.

Building website and editing pages.

At the bottom of my website page there is Join Our Newsletter, Reach Us and Get In Touch. The Reach Us has a default email. Im trying to put my email address. How do I do that in Word Press?

Hi :)
That sounds like a special feature of your theme. There is probably an option in the customize area to change the email. Go to Appearance on your WordPress dashboard and click on customize.

You'll have to click on different things til you find what you are looking for.

Also, if you don't find it there, look for the name of your theme on your dashboard menu somewhere. Some themes put their customize options if different places.

Hey Ama,

Am left guessing what exactly it is that you are asking help for. If you created a Contact Form 7 for your contact page... see screen print below to find tutorials that will show you have to get to (and change) your email address from there.

If you have your email address on my your navigation or menu bar then you will need to edit your menu and change your email address from there.

However, if you have simply added your email address in text from a page, then you will need to edit it your email address from there.

Hope you find this helpful.
