People always say - cherish your life. Live like there is no tomorrow as life is short. We often hear this but how many of us really does follow this?

This Sunday, I woke up to a shocking news. A friend had passed away due to a freak accident - car crashed into a monsoon drain and according to news report, he passed away on the spot. Not due to the impact of the accident, but drowned as he was pinned in his car under the water. This news created shock wave across all his friends and colleagues. There were outpour of messages and memories of this wonderful fun loving guy who was taken away from us too soon. He was only 38 years old!

Although I had not known him that well, a chance meeting here and there, but nonetheless, he had left a lasting impression on me. He is the kind of guy who is always cheerful, goofy and loving at the same time. He truly lived his life to the fullest - holidays with family, trying out new food and places, bringing laughter to everyone around him. His jokes and views on life is truly inspiring. He's had a difficult life - sole bread winner when his father passed away when he was only in his 20s, single-handledly put his brother and sister through university, making sure his mum live a comfortable life and never once had he complained of the hardship his family had to endure.

Alvin, though you've passed on, your memories will live on through the lives of those you've touched in the short time you had with us. May you Rest In Peace and I'll miss your smile and laughters!
