Revenue as Amazon Affiliate. How Long does it Take?
I guess this is the first question for anyone trying to figure out how to generate additional income using Amazon Affiliates Program. I'm not a full experienced Marketer, but I've received some training here at Wealthy Affiliate. My guess is that it really depends on your niche and the amount traffic you are able to generate to your website.
In others words, I think it's related to the quality of content you are able to create and the traffic it generates.. More traffic, more sale opportunities! But good content does nothing if potential clients are not able to find it. That's why SEO tools need to be part of the strategy too.
I'm happy to be learning here in WA about all this Affiliate Marketing business. And the best of all is that we have in our hands all the training and tools to make it possible.
What about you? Are you planning or working with Amazon Affiliates Program? What's your experience with it?

Hi,
I am an Amazon Affiliate. I would agree that depending upon your niche and the content of your website will determine the number of sales you can receive.
You also should be aware that not all marketers can actually become an Affiliate with Amazon. In the U.S. individuals who live in certain states are not allowed to become an Affiliate. This also may be true if you live in certain countries.
However, if you are allowed to be an Amazon Affiliate it is a great way to earn extra income. They have changed the payout structure from 2% to 8% depending upon the product being marketed.
So far, I have made a net profit using the Amazon Affiliate program for the past 5 years.
With the tools that are available at WA and the remarks you made in this post, you should be able to see activity and sales. I cannot guarantee that you will receive a commission on day 1.
That is where checking your Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools can help. They will tell you what pages are being viewed.
You can tweak the content so the visitors will turn into buyers.
Thanks for sharing your post with the WA community.
Best wishes,
George
