Be The Change You Want to See (Jim Rohn)
Ok so this has been on my mind for a while and I feel that the Lord and also by much reflection prompted me to share. Anybody ever heard of the "everyone else needs to but not me syndrome."
Well what I have realized as both a pastor and also teacher that one of the drawbacks of our human race is the tendency to try to fix others and change them to what we think would be best ( I am a culprit of this) However lately I have been thinking and meditating. This is my conclusion that its better that you be the change you want to see. Dont give people advice but guide to where they can find the answer. Dont try to get others to be discipline but rather model self mastery and self discipline yourself and strange enough (my testimonial) somehow changes start taking place. This is for the young, old and inbetween....THE MORE YOU ARE WILLING TO CHANGE AND DEVELOP YOURSELF IS THE MORE VALUE YOU WILL ADD TO YOUR LIFE AND GUESS WHAT PEOPLE WILL THEN WANT TO DO THE SAME OR AT LEAST ASK YOU HOW DID YOU DO THAT....THEN THE CATALYST FOR CHANGE BEGINS....Dont take my word for it try it and you will see.
