Hello all,
I performed a full website back up today including my media library.
There was an error message at the top of the exported website file that read: <
WA automatically backs up our sites daily, and if ever we were to encounter any kind of fatal error after making any kind of update or change to the site we could ask site support to return our site to the last save point, so I’ve never worried about doing a manual backup on my end.
Good Morning Eric,
Thanks for your message, I understand that Site Support backs up, wanted a copy for myself.
Have a great day Ron.
backup plugins are on the banned list - so may or may not work properly...
with hte managed hosting you have here you get a full site backup daily...
so if you need to keep a snapshot of a backup then you can request it from site support....
kyle did blog about these a while ago Boost Your Site's Performance: Understanding Plugin Restrictions at Wealthy Affiliate
if it was via ftp then as they have been experiencing issues with a server and sites being up and down then that may have caused it....
but sounds like a bit of corruption...
so worth doing it again.....
i take it the image never made it...
Hi Phil,
Yes, talked to site support last night and I will be performing the backup again today.
Thanks for the follow up!
Ron

Hello WA,
Today I published a post from the WA Site Editor to my website as normal.
My question is: Does anyone know why it created 2 posts on my site?
Sorry I’m late to the game here, but it certainly looks like you have great suggestions below — I hope you are (were) able to get this issue handled!
-Mike
Thanks Mike, Site Support believes it was a malfunction in the Site Content system that created the double post.
Aloha Ron.
It seems to me that you have a static page and you have added some new page.
In this way, all posts are transferred to the static (home) page and also to the newly added pages.
Look at what you have and how many pages, I assume there is some duplicate.
If it is a duplicate page, delete it.
Greetings,
Slavka 👋
I don't use the WA Site Editor, but that sounds very unlikely. Are you sure you didn't just publish it twice? That could create a second post with a modified URL, as the latter must be distinct.
I don't think you can publish a post twice from the site editor.
Site Editor gives you the permalink and you confirm author then press publish.
I was amazed to see 2 posts on the site with 2 different permalinks.
Thanks Ron
OK, thanks. As I said, I don't use it. Sounds to me like you need to report it to Site Support.
