Terrified of Writing?

I got into negative thinking and decided I was terrified of writing! But then two things happened last weekend that changed my point of view.

I reread Eddy's blog: "Are you Distracted by the Wrong Things?" and this explained me to a tee. I chase shiny objects and don't just sit and write, write, write. So here I am writing!

I also heard a radio interview with a New Zealand woman who, from her early 20's, worked for the Nasa Jet Propulsion Lab. At first she was terrified working with all these older hot shot scientists. She thought "I can't do this - everyone is amazing. I can't compete".

But someone gave her excellent advice: "Just keep working". And that's what she did and she rose in the ranks to become a very successful member of the team.

So if you're terrified of writing (lack of confidence, experience, anxiety) - write from your heart and just keep working. I'm with you!

All the best
Alisa :)

I'm glad my post inspired you. You may actually enjoy this one as well:

Ahh - we think alike! I'll have a read of that one too - your posts are awesomely inspiring.
Might get some inspirational books out of the library - although that's reading not writing lol. Cheers, Alisa

Great minds think alike. Thanks!

"write from your heart" - best advice ever. :)

Thanks Mark - appreciate your lovely comment.

All the best, Alisa :)

Now that's what I call motivation -

Thanks Rich - hope it helped you :)

Cheers, Alisa

I have never been terrified of writing, however I have been terrified of someone else reading what I write. As a matter of fact when I started online a few years ago, I would never put my name on my websites.

But the fact is that affiliate marketing boils down to content marketing, and that's what I do. I think writing on these post here at Wealthy Affiliate along with reading post and leaving comments on site rubix comments is a great way to overcome the fear of people reading what you write. The thing I've learned about writing is that it's impossible to learn without writing, and that as long as I am comparing my own writing to someone elses I will always either be better or worse, so I just read and never compare.

Excellent point Mike. I'm also terrified of putting 'my foot in it'!

I've yet to put my pic on the top of my website - but you've given me the confidence to front up and do just that!

Thanks so much for your positive comments - following you now!

Cheers
Alisa
