My Checklist
Hi everybody,
After 7 months practicing affiliate marketing, I got my checklist for publishing posts.
It might be useful to less experienced than me and more experienced members are very welcome to add to my list items which I missed. So, here it is:
- First Draft
- Keywords
- Long tail keyword
- Seo title, headlines, URL, description, alt text
- Tags
- Feature Image
- Pinterest Image
- Minify Images
- Make Pinterest Image invisible on the post ( <div style="display: none;"></div>)
- Banner
- Internal links
- Call To Action
- Call for comment
- Opt-in form
- Affiliate disclosure at the beginning of the post
- Publish post
- Fetch as Google
- Sitemap resubmit
- G+
- Twitter
- Facebook page
- Pinterest
Whoever said, affiliate marketing was easy, he/she must have been joking :)

Hi Alex, can you please talk about 8 and 9? What are minify images and why are they important, and why do you make the Pinterest image invisible on the post?

Hi Mellissa, thanks for commenting.
Here are my reasons for 8 and 9:
-Images are usually large files, so in order to avoid website getting slow I get all my images compressed . For this purpose I use https://tinypng.com/
-Pinterest images are very big (735px x1102px) to be part of the post, or at least I feel that way, but it necessary to have them as part of post so that Pinterest can locate them. To have it both ways I insert the image at the bottom of the post and than hide it from view.

Yes, I remember reading that any type of marketing was easy. I think those writing these comments were living in cloud cuckoo land.
There are many things to think of and do if your marketing is to be successful.
