Wrapping Up Level 2
I wish schools taught a course or two on online businesses. I can see myself doing this years from now.
I’m already an avid writer. Blogging and sharing helpful content to readers is one of the best self-made opportunities I’ve ever done. I don’t need to search endlessly for an employer to hand me the work; I just do it!
I don’t know why it took me so long to finish Level 2. Oh yeah, life.
I’m glad I’ve maintained my focus now. Life shouldn’t stop me from my dreams no matter how difficult it can get.
Here’s what I learned working on my Level 2 courses:
LONG FORM CONTENT IS THE BEST
Ugh, 1,000-word posts. Just reading the sentence makes newbie writers cower in a corner. I used to be one of them.
A few years back, 300-500-word posts were my top game. Anything beyond the 500-word limit was way out of my league.
Now, I’ve learned long form content is great for your affiliate site. Google will place you in high rankings in their search engine. Besides, readers love long form content especially if it’s information they desperately need.
Writing a 1,000 word post gets easier the more you practice. Sometimes, it comes out of the blue when you only planned to write a short article.
WA’s Site Content has helped me with longer posts with its templates. A long form post is broken up by 100-word paragraphs. Looking at long form content like this makes writing like a walk in the park!
Writing listicles is a fun start to writing longer posts. However, don’t stick with listicles too long unless you’re planning to write for BuzzFeed or another listicle mania site.
JAXXY IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
You only need one keyword tool and that’s Jaxxy! This site has helped me find many blogging ideas. I’ve managed to find over 20 of them. They’ll last me for a while.
COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE IN & OUT OF WA
Your site is nothing without social activity. Social engagement is important, not only to build traffic, but to establish real, solid relationships along your online business journey.
MY GOAL FOR THE NEXT SEASON (OR TWO)
My next goal for my site is to make my first buck. That’s it!
Making $1,000 a month from my site is a sweet idea, but how can I do it with a book blog? I review romance novels and post about other romance novel related info.
I can either make a new site in a more profitable niche or add products to my current site. I can blog about candles, clothes, romantic gifts, and anything else I can relate to the romance reader community.
Who knows what will happen. I must keep going and see what unfolds before me.
