A Week Of Sadness And Reflection
Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a great week, wherever you are in the world.
This week was very sad for me and our family as it was my Mum's funeral. she was 96, almost 97 years old.
We arranged the service to be very nice and reminded me of how much technological change there has been in the world during the last century, how things have changed dramatically, and how the rate of change is increasing.
My Mum was born in 1928, between the first and second world wars, before computers and before the internet.
She kept up to date with technological developments, and enjoyed speaking to our relatives in South Africa and Australia on skype or WhatsApp.
Now that the funteral is out of the way it is back to the usual routine of content creation and Social Media posting.
But we had some quiet moments of reflection for my Mum, and celebrated her life with a drink and a buffet meal for friends and family. Some of our family members joined the funeral service via the webcam, something which is a real benefit of modern technology.
My Mum was a caring person who loved nothing better than to be with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Have a great weekend, and week ahead wherever you are in the world.
Cheers Alan

Hey Alan, I am sorry for your loss but it is inevitable that all good things come to an end. She is in a better place without war now, at least. I didn't know you have relatives in S.A. We are from S.A. but have homes in the UK and US as well.
