The letter "O" Verses the Number "0" Confusion

I have from time immemorial, struggled with a person inadvertently and nonchalantly usage of the letter "O" and the number "o" interchangeably without any justification!

For instance we tend to say to each the telephone number such as (120)321-5670 wrongly as (12o) 321-567o. Note this is not a real phone number as it for demonstration only!. This error is not a region specific but rather it is an error everywhere! Please pay close attention where ever you are and you will hear this floating around. :):)

Hopefully I've gotten the point across... Must indeed get going till we connect again but wait a minute am I not in the WA community? Yes indeed I am at the WA where connectivity is only left to one's imagination... Thank you for reading!
