Progress Following Wealthy Affiliate Lesson & Rank On Page 1 Google

Hi everyone akid here. Here's is what I learned/discover/progress since following wealthy affiliate lessons. Kinda like my testimonial. So here goes:

1. I created my 1st WordPress website here in late January 2021.

What I learned - 10 decades ago, I'm using blogger and don't want to convert even though I was well informed that self-hosted WP has soo many benefits compared to Blogger. Because I feel it is complicated and troublesome to do it. But now, I'm amazed by the fact that creating a WP website here using Site Manage in Wealthy Affiliate can be done easily just by a few mouse clicking.

2. Write my 1st blog post in early February 2021. Now we in July. So far I have written 11 articles. Too slow I know. But because all of it is long-form content and because of working 12 hours a day for 3 days, 8 hours for 3 more days, and 1 rests day. Simply put, time is not always on my side.

What I learn & discover - Let's be honest here. After long hours spent working, the last thing we wanna do after we get back is turn on the laptop and writing blog posts, right? Back in 10 years ago, I can just write 200 - 300 words per article and easily get ranked on the first page of Google. And I can manage to published posts 3-5 times per day. But now, Google inspects quality differently. For example, to increase your odds of getting a good rank, 1 blog post should at least have 1000-2000 words minimum. Because of these kinds of changes, I think it makes sense that in the 2020s, to succeed in this field we should spend less time with writings and spent most of our time promoting.

So I've been thinking about hiring writers that handling the draft part or, just using good A.i writing tools so I can spend less time in writings and do something else that is important for the growth of my site.

3. The longest I wrote for single content is around 5k words. Did it rank on Google's first page? No.

What I learned - While I did have fun and enjoy writing it (because this article is the mark of me making changes to the way I write), word count is not the main factor in ranking. Having inserted the right keyword is the thing.

4. Keyword research has to be a deep process

What I discover - By what I mean deep, is to count on your competitors as well. Like when I see there's a lot of big DA sites on the first page of Google using keywords that I'm about to use, I will look for other keywords because it is almost impossible to outrank them.

5. One of my articles finally ranks on Google's first page at position number 3

What I learned - That article managed to beat other few high DA sites simply because it has longer search phrases (I think this is what Kyle means by low hanging fruit keyword). So I will just focus on keywords with longer search phrases for now until my site has enough backlinks to compete for shorter keywords.
