Progress, it's always nice to see progress!

Well, what to say about my progress so far...this journey so far has been quite educational, there is no doubt about that! I had never built a website before joining the WA and now i have one in the works. I've been at this for about 5 weeks now and 3 of those weeks i never touched the computer as i spent one week getting the camper ready for annual trip to the lake and two weeks at the lake with a family reunion in there as well. So, here i sit getting back into the swing of things in the WA system, Level 2 Lesson 10 and looking forward to Level 3!

I have been working in the niche of 'camping' - so far its coming together although i haven't had much luck with finding very many pics online that i feel i can use without the risk of copyright infringement, so i have been taking photos when i have been at the campsite or around the lake.

With the photos i had a hurdle a few weeks back because i could not figure out how to get my photos to upload into the website, i was going crazy until i tried using 'paint' to edit the size - something so simple - and POW the photos were ready to use. I know i could probably have saved some time by asking the wonderful folks here within the WA community for help with this issue but i do get a certain bit of satisfaction from finding a solution to the problem on my own. Sometimes the small victories feel like a major accomplishment.

I know i have a mountain of information to learn yet on making the website look more presentable. Over the next 3 months i would like to get all my pages filled in and of course have photos for clarity of content. I am thinking a small instructional using photos would be good to put in as well - I don't think i am ready to do a video yet! Besides that, as a tradesman I often have a hard time controlling the profanities - I cannot have my kids film that for me!

Within the next 6 months I would very much like to be able to sit back and look at my first site and say 'it looks good!'. Ath that point i also want to be working on another site, i just have not settled on what subject matter to roll with on the second. I wonder if 'how to type the word "the" ' would be a good niche? So far i have had to correct that work overy time i have typed it! It's kind of frustrating but i will get through it some day! Maybe I should even start using teh shift key once and awhile, I seem to miss plenty of capital letters where they are required as well. I seem to be spoiled by microsoft word!

Adam.

Sounds like you have a great plan for your Niche and great goals in mind! :) Don't forget to write down daily goals, as it keeps you focused and not too overwhelmed!! :)

That is a good point! i have been feeling like i need to keep a small notebook with me to jot stuff down as i go through the day. I will have to make a trip to the dollar store for a notebook.
