When I check the Search Analytics report in Google Search Console, it has 16 keywords that my pages have impressions from. But none of the 16 are any keywords that I was target

Try putting the keyword in an h2 tag and h3 if applicable. You can also try putting it in an alt tag on an image.

I just added in some of my keywords in the h2 tag, so hopefully that helps!

But I do have to say that my overall feeling is that indeed, it's just the way Google is. I suppose that's kind of comforting if it means I'm not doing anything wrong, but also frustrating because...WHY?? LOL

Anyway, thanks for the advice!

hi ahike, there could be several reasons that you are not getting impressions for the keywords that you are targeting.

here are a few reasons...

1. the keywords that you are targeting could be highly competitive.
2. the keywords are not in the title and url of your post or page.
3.The keyword or keyword phrase is not in the first paragraph of your post.

hope this helps.

But hey aren't you glad that you're getting visits?

Felton t.

Is it really important to have the keyword in the first paragraph? Because I'm doing the other two things.

Thanks for the comment!

I definitely have those 3 things going, that's why I'm a little stumped...

But I am glad to be getting some hits for the content I've create! It really makes you feel like you're on the right track!

That's just how Google is...can't explain it any other way, lol

Hey all,

I've been making a steady stream of posts about woodworking tools on my blog (superiorwoodworkingtools.com), and in the process have been using screenshots when

It's better to use free images because some screenshots may not work out.

Hi! You can also access free images using SiteContent here at WA.

With Amazon, sometimes screenshots are not ok. You might want to take a look at this:

Thanks for the advice!

Very nice article with some very important information.

Thank you kindly for letting me know about it!

You could get into serious trouble because simply put - you're stealing.

Try this site for pics and remember to choose the ones in Public Domain (click the Filter Icon to the top right then Public Domain).

Hey Robert, thank you for the response!

I will be sure to correct this on all of my posts so I don't run afoul of any rules.

That being said, is there any way to get images of specific products that I write about and post them to my site?

There are lots of free images on sites all over the internet.

Read this blog of mine where I give you some.
I'm sure you will find what you're looking for - I'm going to sign off now as its getting late and I have a busy day tomorrow.
Robert

Thank you again for all your help, and have a wonderful night!
