Website not being indexed?
First of all, let me start by saying this will not be a tutorial on Google indexing. I have no more experience with that than most of you do. But after a few weeks one of my sites was still not being indexed even though another was indexed after only a few days.
I make no claims that this will work for you nor am I sure that this was even the problem.....but I will tell you what I did and my site was indexed within 24 hours.
This is a "Is there gas in it", "is the power on" kind of post. You know.....when you get something torn apart only to realize it was out of gas, had a loose wire or the power was off.......but who does stuff like that.....right? I digress.
I had changed various things on my site with still no luck of being indexed and I was getting a bit frustrated, so I went back to my SEO. i changed the settings back to default thinking there was a possibility that I had accidentally changed something that I shouldn't. Next, I noticed that there was an SEO update that I hadn't done. So I allowed it to update.
Like I said, I can't guarantee that this fixed my problem, it could be coincidence, but if you're having a problem getting indexed, those 2 things may be worth checking on your site.
