One Year.. And Counting!
I have been with Wealthy Affiliate for a little over 1 year now. This seems to be a decision point for many members: continue the relationship with WA, or move on.
When I first joined, I did tell myself if I wasn't successful at my 1-yr mark, I would end my membership. I had seen other posts about making thousands of dollars in 4 months, and that was my goal. I was going to spend every free moment outside of my traditional job working on IM.
I worked on one site for about 6 months, and learned a lot. I made a total of $112 through affiliate programs off that site. I grew tired of the niche, and sold the site for $150. I started another site, and realized all the things I had done wrong on the first site.
I have been working on this 2nd site for about 3 months now, since I was laid off from my day job. Over the last week, I have gone from averaging 35 visitors a day to over 100 visitors a day. My revenue is far from being spectacular, but money is slowly trickling in.
I may not have achieved millionaire-status through IM in the last year, but in my eyes, I have been successful. I know some people making thousands very fast. This was not the case for me. I needed a year to get to where I am now, and I am very happy with my results. I have had my ups and downs, and have wanted to give up many times. But each small victory keeps me motivated. The only way I can fail is by giving up.
Needless to say, I won't be leaving WA anytime soon!
